A Player's Journal In New Land II (Journal version of PvE concept compilation)
This is "Chapter II" of it. (First one Here) Again, it is a complication of several PvE game Play concept in a "Journal" Format. Some are taken from my thread, some from my replies from other thread, some from other's idea in their thread, and some are still ideas in my head and not in any thread....
I will put a list of related links up below.
So read on, for your enjoyment, I guess.
-------------------------------------------------------------
A Player's Journal In New Land II
I start of today in the town. Me and my guildsmate, Jack and Action, have agree to go off to explore that Dungeon Cave, from the key I found last time. (Wonder Cave) It turns out the key is to the Goblin Cave. As none of use are familiar with this cave, we duck in into a local tavern to ask around (Tavern, and social Area). Luckily, we found someone who been to such cave before. “Ah, yes, the goblin cave, that’s a fun one. Watch out for the traps in between. You will know when you see the skull. Also bring some interruption skills, since the Goblin Boss at the end is a nasty one. Our party couldn’t beat him that last time. I would of join you, but I got some other business.” Thanking him, we bought him a Drink.
The Goblin Cave sounded more fun now, but before we can go, we also need to get a map, else would need to spend all day trying to find such cave again. Good thing now that with the Auction House, buying and selling things become lot easier. Thanksfully, some one put a Goblin Cave Map on sell, where we quickly purchase one.
Upon use, it show that the location of the Cave can be find (instanized) in to Joker’s Fiddle exploration area, so we quickly head on over. (Wonder Cave) Its all been for while that the 3 of us been to that area. Using the LFG menu, we quickly find two other player who are interested in going with us. (LFG Menu) filling rest of the spot with Henchmens, we set off.
We made good times, killing few group of mob in between, before we were stop by a group of Shadow Runners, who were more nasty than other. “Oh, I don’t remember those guys in here before.” Must be one of those Monster Relocation (Monster Migration). Not to be dented, we keep on going, and just beyond the corner, to our surprise, we spotted the Flaming Bunny! (Mystical Beast Hunt –Mini game) Its one of those Mystical Beast, which are not often seen. While it can not be charmed, hunting it would still yield some goodies. So we try to quickly sneak up to it, but it still go spook. We try to chase it, but its not a Mystical Beast for nothing, and quickly out stride out group, but not before it lead use to another group of Shadow Runners, but this time, with a boss. After a furious fight, we manage to defeat it, but not without taking causality. Good thing our Healer Hench is still around, and she quickly rez everyone back up. And you know what, the Shadow Runner Boss drop an Essences! It give everyone Shadow Sword ability, so our attack will do extra shadow damage for as long as we are on the map. It make the fight worth the while. (Essence and Power Up for Exploration Area)
While still disappointed in not catching the bunny, we finally come up to our destination, the Goblin Cave. Because we used the map, its entrance is instanize for us. We quickly do away with the guardians, and enter it.
The Cave is damp, very darkly, thought lighted by torch. There are various cave painting on the wall, as well as skeleton of small animal laying around. Jack found a Graveyard Weed along the side, which he said he might keep it later for potions making (Potion Making – Mini Game). We come up against few Goblin groups, but nothing hard. But before we can warn one our group, he step on a Skull marked tile, and Boom! We rez him, but guess he’s not too happy. Doing away with few other goblins and their pet spiders, we come up to the final chamber, where we face the Goblin King. “Who Wake the King’s Sleep?” Yell the King. I think it always added a bit more life like touch when you hear the Mob or NPC talks. (More Personality to NPC and Mob) Actually, the King is not red, and he offers us a Deal. “Give me Gold and you may leave alive!” Well, of course we all quickly agree /NO to that (thought I do wonder what would happen if we do), and the fight break out. The King doesn’t seem too hard, but the room is quickly flooded with smaller goblins. The King is summoning them! Good thing we brought some interruption skills, else we would of follow the fate of them earlier adventures. (More Scripted and Interesting Boss Fights)
After the fight, when the king is dead, I got a notice, that I earn a “Goblin King Slayer” badge in my Stats menu (Badges and Stats Menu) Cool. We also looted some gold, few dyes, and a purple Goblin Staff. It isn’t much, but it was the fun that counts. But Action, being lucky, got a Goblin King Card! But he kindly give away to one of other player, who said he is collecting all Goblin Cards. (Fun Collectibles)
Well, its getting long, and different people have different stuff to do. So added each other to the friend list, say good byes, and went on our separate ways.

Hey lord zhou feng. I forget where i know you from, we probably used to play together or something.
MINI GAMES FTW!
You should be able to unlock mini games like snowball fights and mad king says for the useless items from the seasonal events (please no candy cane farming year long). That way, I'll have something to do when im not farming fame and sigils.

Hey i wanted to go on a point you where talking about wich would be the map thingy.
I really like the idea of having no minimap, and to have to open the map and chek out places and so forth. I would also like the map to be created from what you know OR to buy pieces of the map for gold or by helping an npc who then gives you a piece of map as a reward.
I also think it would be just lovely if the map would have like names on it for locations and when an npc (like the hench talking about the sister) tells you about a place you can just chek it out on the map.
[and maybe put a little "search" funktion so that you dont have to scroll around the map for hours if you forgot where a place is]
About the tavern thing, maybe it should be full of npcs who actually give you tips about stuff instead of being players only, because then it would be kind of empty.
You wrote something about cards, maybe there should be some kind of Magic: The Gathering minigame where you can actually collect cards and play with them.
Also it would be cool to have a Pokémon kind of thing where rangers get theyr pets to fight against each other and stuff.
And maybe gladiator arenas or even bet places and... OMG SO MANY IDEAS!!!
*EDIT*
If anyone of you played The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion you know what a good rpg is like and i think gw should be like taht too, but its just that you can play it online with other players wich makes it even more fun.

No idea. We must of have played together. And from the looks of it PvP since thats where Lord Zhou Feng is from :P
I found the actual Tavern talk hilarious. Perhaps it can be avoided with "enforced" role playing instances? Hard though.
EDIT: SHARD is that you? Hmmm the name is really really familiar now. What alts with the SHARD name you used? What guilds where you in?
