The Community's Want-List Of Guild Changes (Listen Up Anet!)
So, I've decided to do a little list of what the community wants for guild changes. This is regarding everything to alliences, guild hall and privilegies.
I'll start with a basic list and then update it once a day depending on what you guys want. So let's start off.(Remember if you dont agree with any point, please let me know!)
-Make the guild hall more comfortable to be in, maybe a living room or a bar?
-Balance the town control/elite missions.
-Give the leader the ability to choose names at the ranks and decide how many ranks there should be. Not only leader, officer and member.
-Add storage, merchant etc. in the guild hall. (*Will be in GW:F)
-More Guild Halls!
-No invitation Fee!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please feel free to post your suggestions!

I think the community wants some sort of Hair stylist, a better Trade system, PvE rewards to rival PvP rank (which we're getting now), 1 vs 1 (also getting), two handed swords and axes, mounts like horses, towns clothing or jewelry, more high end dungeons, and possibly an end to bots (for which a hard nerf of a few critical invincimonk skills would in my opinion outweigh the possible balance issues in pvp if it means ending the bot thing).

The invitation fee is to prevent people from spamming invites. I guess if you are pvp only it sucks to have to have money but people felt it was needed.
GW:F will have more guild halls.
More additions to guild halls are always nice.
I dont know how we can balance town/control when we havent even seen exactly how it will go. Factions isnt even out yet. The preview was too short to know how its going to go.
Giving more and new ranks for guilds would be good. Along with customizing what privilages each rank has.

This one is about auction house (since there are already countless thread about it, so I won't start another one...)
But what is the reason that A.net never did add a Auction house? I am well sure in development, they are very much aware of such features, but it was never made into the game, Why?
I hold my theory to that the Dev think such feature would make the game "too easy". With frictionless trade and transaction, it would break down the price (where most things will just be a little above what the merchant will pay), thus making people have lower incentive to "farm", which might result in more people not staying.
If so, a "Universal Auction house" might not be such good idea (else it might be added by now) Thus I would suggest a altnerative of not a acution house, but a Better Trade Channel/Menu. It would be where you can put some of you goods (1 ... to possibly 5) up in a menu, where other can just look at such menu for easier finding what they need. BUT.. it would be kept in Districts... so you can only see what ever is sell in districts, and can only kept your item on sell if you remain in the district. (and everything will be charge with a fee) Yes, it add on lots frictions, but might be another alternative for such thing.

If you were guildless before the addition of invitation fees, then you'll know why it was added.
It became annoying just to even enter a town. "Hi I see your guildless, I've sent you a guild invite, please join." Most of the time though, you'd just get the invite and have no idea where it came from or who they are.
It was a necessary addition.

Removing the guest invite fee might be useful, but the member invite fee should stay.

I disagree with these. And I havent seen "community suggestions" of any of these.
The town control was fairly balanced in fpe...and I am sure it will be greatly improved upon release. I dont agree that every little guild with 2 members should have an equal shot at owning a city.
There is nothing wrong with leader officer and member...I dont even know what you would add or what they would do besides invite members.
The invitation fee is so small that it doesnt really matter, but it keeps people from spam recruiting in LA...Therefore its amazing.

Actually...No one wants most of those but you.
Hair dresser/ Plastic surgeon /town clothes ~ Heard about it alot...good idea.
Better trading ~ Yep...all the time.
PvE rewards ~ Not very often that you heard this one...mainly because they are already in the game (Not being implemented like you said...you already have them)
1v1 ~ There are some fans...but I have not heard of this being implemented...and I read absolutly everything related to GW.
2 handed swords/axes 1 handed hammers ~ Anyone who knows jack about the game hates this idea, unless it is implemented in a new class with different attributes. Most other people suggest this because X game has it (Normally X game is completely unbalanced)
Mounts ~ Accomplishes nothing...Prolly never going to be implemented, and there are a very small amount of people who even want this.
High end dungeons ~ Actually I rarely hear this one. The catacombs thread is a good one, but mainly its crys for more content overall...who cares what it is.
End to botting ~ Sure...Anet is working on it
Nerfing skills to end botting ~ NO ONE WANTS THIS. Ending bots does not outweigh the game's balance...no matter what you think. Especially because this has been done, and it doesnt stop anything. Nerfing skills solves absolutly nothing. Antifarm, dynamic AI, and non predictable things (traps that deal 150 damage would work, wouldnt kill a normal player, but kills an 55 or 105) those solve the problem.
And none of these have anything to do with guilds...

then you missed some, the recent interview on gamespot mentioned scrimages, 1v1, 8v8, 1v8, etc.

In actual fact it's probably only a very small percentage of the community that wants these. Sure they would be nice, but they aren't really necessary and would add a whole other level that would need to be balanced, unless your proposal includes making a 2 handed sword, 1 handed hammer do the same dmg as a 1 handed sword or 2 handed hammer.

Skills in general aren't nerfed due to botting, they are nerfed / improved because everyone uses them the the detriment of other skills, or no one uses them because skill X is soooo much better.

True, and someone of them really didn't need to be mentioned (mounts, etc)

i do think being able to set more than just officers, and special priviledges, would be very, very nice
like designating a co-leader, or senior officers, who can demote regular officers who misbehave.

guild storage would be a plus
the ability to give officers a "rank" title or designate a co-leader is also good

the only one i agree with customisable ranks within the guild. let us decide what priveliges each member or officer gets please.
as for the other suggestions... hair dressers and plastic surgeons?!?!? WTF!! A-Net please promise never to do this!
the whole 1 handed hammers and 2 handed swords/axes is meh its crap
mounts? why they would only be cosmetic so why bother? its just extra load on the GW dev team.

In my opinion Guild Hall should have the option in the future to upgrade to Guild Village where you can create Houses or a Giant temple with different rooms for each player (it would of course cost some money).. The village would of course also have things like a fire pit or a similar place where guild member can gather at to relax. This way you will get additional storage space and a nice guild atmosphere ^^

Yeah, but there are also already a number of things implemented. Such as green items.

I think this thread should be renamed "Pappayaponta's Want-List of Guild Changes."
Most everything you've said has either already been taking care of or addressed. And as for making the guild hall a "more comfortable place to be in, maybe a living room or a bar?" - this is Guild Wars, not the Sims. Things regarding guilds are fine the way they are, and if not - they will be taken care of.
