This thread imo is kinda like "trolling" or very missleading. I think its hard to talk about what you are thankful for if your views have changed over and over again. You can express what you are thankful for but its hard to explain the reasons behind it because the posters dont want any bad thoughts in this thread. Are you thankful for a certain aspect of the game because it has flaws in other spots? Or is a feature that has always been there? I will sum up a thankful response that is rather consistant.
Thank you for the thousands of gameplay hours over the past 2 and a half years. Only a few games out on the market can say they can give us that. I spent over $250 in a 2 and a half year span and have several thousands of gameplay hours to show for it.

And thank you for assisting me with meeting some very cool people over the last 2 years. Only in a MMORPG is that possible, but friends make this game never get old, they are the reason I am still playing.

Thanks for rebirthing this thread
Thanks for the character dynamics that are more present in EotN than they were in the other campaigns (a little in NF, but didn't hold a candle to EotN).
Thanks for dungeons that I cannot beat. As mad as I get after spending 2 hours on a boss b4 finally admitting I can't do it with this build, it sure is nice to come across something in a game that I have to think about.
Thanks for titles that are hard to max.
Thanks for putting up with the grief we give you when you don't bow to all our demand ;-).

Thanks for a great game.
This game has everything I wished Diablo II had, more than 2 skills available for use and the ability to use a second profession.
Thanks for holidays and festivals.
I have so much fun with these, I hope that you guys keep em coming.
Thanks for Heroes.
Using them has improved my game play tenfold. Working with their skill bars has taught me how to create better builds and how to synergize team builds. Not to mention without them I'd given up long ago because I wasn't getting anywhere fast with PUGs.

I am thankful for the attention to... detail in the cut scene where we are introduced to Livia?
lol
I LOVE THIS GAME!
BTW, GG on rezing this very old and positive post. The forums were beginning to lose my interest with all the anet/GW bashing going on.

Thank you for 2+ years a gaming enjoyment. GW is the only game I have ever played for more than 6 months without starting a new one.

For this awesome game.
Particulars off the top of my head : The Harvest Temple mission, the assault on the Crescent Fortress place in nightfall, titan quests, pvp in general are a lot of fun.
Guild Wars has given me more enjoyment than I experienced in probably any other game. I played in one of the beta events after I heard that ANet was making a game with ideas that were exactly what I wanted in a game. The Beta went far beyond my expectations. My name during Starcraft lan with friends after words was "Rather be playing Guild Wars", when the game was released I dragged some of them to a GW opening party at my local Lan Center. The summer after I got the game was mostly spent either playing the game or sleeping next to my computer. While some of that excitement is gone because after a long long time Guild Wars' awesome-ness is familiar now, but its still a game that gives me sleepless nights and fun times.

Um, OK.
Thank you for the awesome scenery, I captured lots of awesome pics and visited some breathtaking locations!
Thanks for Jade Quarry! I know it's dead but that factions preview weekend (and that particular weekend in general) was a true blast and produced a real hype for me to buy the game!
Thank you for making a game that I don't have to worry about when I'm 'not' playing it, and thanks also for making a game I don't have to play and wont run away from me if I leave it for a while - you guys were on the money when you mentioned this too!
Thank you for listening to your fans, and thanks for having the best community relations with the fans as well. One thing I love is the ability to communicate to a company... even more effectively than if we were your shareholders! In saying this, thanks for putting up with all the crap that a lot of us have given you since you launched, you have a skin of steel and can still be kind enough to give us the soft side of your cheek.
Thanks for organizing and celebrating special events with us!
And thanks for making a game that your fans helped inspire, and we hope to see more great things from you in the future!
Oh and thanks for the dungeons as well, now I can come on and clear out one area knowing that there's going to be a reward at the end.
EDIT: Sorry, I have more to add
Thanks for Erudine, Althea and Eve! Sexy!

I am thankful that I am still alive, that the heart operation 28 years ago, was a success.
I am thankful for my niece.
I am thankful for the fact that I am currently working on my diploma thesis and it is running ok.
I am not thankful for GW, because I paid for it.

QFT.
I'm thankful for all the events, the attention Anet pays to the player community/the fact they actually read our posts, and their professionalism in making a game as large, fun, dynamic, and yet still as polished as Guild Wars. Say what you will about them nerfing skills and any issues with EotN, but even at their worst they still make most other MMO's I've ever played look like an amateur mod someone threw together.

I find it pretty uplifting to see people from different racial/ethnic groups (as represented by their avatars) gathered and working together in relative harmony.
Being black, brown, yellow or white (or male or female, for that matter) doesn't create the divisions we witness in the real world - we're all just "players".
