Default Fix for Luxon Monk Armor

The luxon monk armor torso does not cover the full torso and thus does not blend in with other armor types at all, unlike many of the other armors. Also the blue area is not dyeable and does'nt match with tatoos breaking the continuity of how earlier body stuff was created.

Now I really love the armor looks and was dissapointed when it didn't cover the whole torso and that the blue area was not dyeable

Here is a simple proposed fix that the art team could do to the texture map.

Of course it would be nice if they went back to the astetic 1.5 and 15k and changed the browns to be a bit more lively on both sets as the are in the upper torso of these images.

It's not so much that it should be changed, but it needs to be changed.

Thanks for the responses I was afraid I'd just get the typical naysayers who only post to be negative

I'd be happy to go in and touch up the bottoms of the astetics too, to show how they could look with the nicer browns they used in Factions if people would like.

That was the only reason I got the 15k was that the loincloth on normal astetics is so drab

This would make the armors blend in much more approprietly, so im up for it. Good suggestion btw.

Thanks. I really am suprised that they did not do this. I am also curious if Anet is going to go back and spruce up the old armors any.

I doubt the old armors would change.

I do support the idea of improved armor graphic compatibility...

I want the armors to at least reach the same points on a character. If one armor top covers the character down to the hips, I want the other one to do roughly the same. Trench coats are cool, but tattoos that don't line up don't look good.

You never know. Some time ago they did go back and redo many of the Tyrian armors so they could do that again if they chose to.

Hmm I've not worn 15k Wanderer's but if it does the same thing it should be fixed also.

Can you post or link to a picture of it please?

Thanks. I always figure if you can show something it gets the point across better then just words.

Oh no, 15k wanderer's has a different issue. It seems like the dangeling handwraps only have one side to their texture. They're transparent when viewed from certain angles.

But if they can't fix that, well, I wouldn't hold your breath >_<

That definitely needs to be fixed.

Great proposed artwork too.

Ah that sounds like a wireframe issue compared to a texture mapping issue. Perhaps they forgot to add some polys on the opposite side?

You could take a screenshot and send it in to show them the problem and who knows maybe they will fix it.

quickmonty, SnipiousMax, Lepton CFd

Thank you for the compliment on the touchup
