When i first hit the desert, all the level 20s were practically useless. I went back after i had ascended, to capture an elite, and i had a group of level 14-18s, and healer henchie do the desert missions faster than any all level 20 group i've been in before or since.
I've always said it, and i'll say it again. For this game, it's not really about level, it's about SKILL (within sensible reasoning. a level 2 will never beat a level 20). Penalising someone due to exp doesn't prove they're new to that character type. Exp will only prove how knew the character is, not the player's skill in using it.

I don't know if you guys invite people based on their titles but I do not. The fact that someone comes in with the tag "1337 farmer" won't make me jump to bring him in my group. I didn't realize that you all didn't sign this because you assumed that titles = respect.

The only thing these PvE titles do is give something to work towards as a little bonus. You don't get respect from any of the players out there for most anything. The only time I've ever thought "Hey, pretty neat" was when I saw a guy with 90% of Tyria explored. Does this mean I want him in my perfect group? Lord no!

Most of the PvE titles are tied to farming anyway. I'm willing to bet that 70% of the people with the gold item drop or chest opening titles are all farmers anyway. Do you notice how many people do chest runs in FoW? They will soon be getting both titles for rares and chest but this doesn't mean they're any good for grouping with. We don't and shouldn't assume they are great people to play with.

Finally, my rationale for the FoW chest runners being farmers is simply the cost of doing so. Flame on all you want but the way I look at it the average player does not have 150,000 gold laying around to spend on keys. These titles are for fun, not animosity amongst players!

500,000 EXP isnt hard to get. Make the highest rank at like 3mil or something.

but theres a good chance those lvl 20s were morons who have never been through the game.
regarldess of how they got it; someone with 3 million exp almost definetly knows how to use a character better than someone with 200k (unless tis a monk in which case, chances are its a 55er).
the point is; if you are forming a party of random players, and lets say there are 2 w/ns trying to get into your party, 1 has 230,000 exp, the other has 1.1 million...which, if you know nothing else about them, would you take?
for me; the latter.
they might be worse, for all i know the guy with 230k exp has 10 warriors across 14 accounts...but, if you base your decision off of simply the information provided, the latter is the obvious choice.
personally i think you should be able to display exp, the number of elites you have while working on skill-hunter, and a "character completion" title...where it displays a percentage basis of all-encompasing things.
ie, takes into acccount missions, bonuses, all skills for all character classes, and works it into a percentage, and shows how far along you are with that one character.

people on this thread are 100% ignorant that all u need to get a pvp title is time not skill, thats actually how it is for everything in this game... time. if anyone can tell me how it is any more LEGIT to farm rank and get a title than to farm experience and get a title, please imform me,

Rank hinges on a team, and is infact competitive in nature. You compete against other teams, and the winner gets fame. The more you win consecutively, the more fame you get, and the more you win the harder the teams you face get(usualy - there's always the team that had 6 deaths vs zashien that skips to halls). If you're an exceptional player in an exceptional team, you'll likely get much more fame than that unranked random group of players that are actualy new.

The fastest way to gain experience is to run outside a cave, and kill trolls(using a +300% exp scroll before they die). The spawns are somewhat varried sure, are any of them actualy harder in diffuculty? Maybe slightly(more trolls, maybe alot of nasty avicara outside the cave..). But to be honest the more you do it, the diffuculty does not progress, and there is no team play involved. If you're a super good 55 vs a noobie 55, you're not going to get that much more experience an hour, maybe 5 runs worth tops.

Any amount of fame or experience can be "farmed." It's just that in PvP, there are actualy factors not in your control, that can't be predicted. PvE farming, you have absolutly none of that.

Solution= Make a cap on how much exp goes into this title daily.
I am not suggesting a experience cap, but a cap that prevents more than a certain ammount of xp going towards the title.

pve'rs need some kind of emote like this and xp emote would be great, titles are just crap imo especially as they are for pvp'ers as well

The HA people have there title and so should the PvE. Hey, even pvp people can acquire enough xp to get this title
