Don't really see the point tbh, anyone can go to Ruins of Surmia and use an EoE bomb to wipe out 50 Charr every 60 seconds. With all the high level mobs been the same as low level mobs you just couldn't do it.
they could always say "you have to solo them, and they have to be equal or higher than the level you are currently at to count towards your kill number"

Which would just encourage farming... and as we well know, Anet don't seem to react too kindly to that.

Its a good idea... but somehow, I just think tracking all type of mob you will would stress the server more than it is needed, and with that many mob around, it would be a big long list that hardly anyone will read.

I would say just track the Monster Type killed (like Dragon, Troll, Charrs, etc) And than just track a top kill mob (like Mob Slayed Most: Mountain Troll).

Farming for wealth, and farming for a name are totally different subjects. I dont think anet would frown upon this kind of farming. Its the farming to get ahead of others in the game (in respects to gold) that they want us to stay away from.

But then lvl 20 characters would never be able to get titles for charr, devourers, grawls, etc that are below 20.

Devours:200
Bosses: 60

I'd Rather have titles for beating extreme enemies, like Dragon Bosses, and end scenario bosses. Building a template to farm a certain creature and then mowwng a few hundred isn't realy deserving of a title IMO.

They could deal a PvP kill count for significant kills, but probably best of all would be a kill list, listing all the names of every player you have killed.

While I always like these in games - the one problem I see is what do you cound as a kill?

A mesmer backfires and degens something to almost dead and a wrrior runs over and lands the killing blow - who gets it?

A Warrrior has beat the stuffing out of several things and a Ele drops a nuke in that kills everyone?

What about the monk that kept you healled th whole fight, without whom you would not have been able to tank that critter?

Those types of things are what I don't know how to handle unless the whole party gets the credit.

lol, my warrior must've killed 10,000 Griffons by now... it'd be cool to get a title for that.

that's why i think it needs to be solo kills only.

1. GW PvE is not about killing mobs. It's about surviving them.
2. Fallout series are essentially single-player titles.

this could not be so strong a point were it not for the fact that;

3. Not all GW classes are designed for killing, like those in Diablo.

The more titles the better =)

Perhaps I'd finallly get something after killing thousands of ettins and only getting a couple superior ab's...oh yeah, superior ab's aren't worth anything anymore =(

A variation on this could be a title for killing every boss in the game. Not counting presear bosses. Everytime you kill a boss you hadn't beaten before, your count goes up by 1. "Boss Hunter" or something. And I think it should count for the party. So if you were the monk who didn't do a single point of damage, you'd still get a kill count. It wouldn't work for counting it only for the last hitter or who dealt more damage.
/signed. Never hurts to have more titles

Sorry for quoting but this is taken from the offical Factions guide book and the guild wars team themselves commented on farming....

Farming: Not unlike the real world profession, farming in Guild wars is a repetitive act geared toward amassing great in-game wealth or quantity of rare items. Farming can set of traits with the sole purpose of slaying a particular monster in a region for hides or gold. Some choose to then sell these items to other players for real-world cash, which is a violation of the guild wars factions terms of use. Players caught farming in-game items or gold for monetary profit will have their accounts banned.

Taken right from the actuall game devolpers there my friends and no they not once say 'you can't farm' its only if your selling it for real cash then of course they don't like that.

Going off subject but had to mention this 'taken from The guild wars factions guide book'

Noob: A less-than-complimentary term for a new player. Also newb, newbie, or n00b. No matter how skilled a player may be, he or she began as a noob, and using the term to describe newcomers is the opposite of classy.

That made my day when I read my book....

Anyway Back on subject I'm not sure about it being abouther title as loads of people have proberlems with that, so how about an extra tab on you hero screen? also with "who's kill was it?" how about you either

A) share the kill.
or
B) you get the kill if you did the most damage to it.

These are my ideas you guys are more than welcome to comment on this or the noob comment
