it is hard to comprehend and lacks in-your-face seller attitude. Thus selling it in trade chat will be easier and faster. The filters' job is done.

Ya, it was a bit overkill and most of the spamboys cannot even conjure it up. Just trying to point out there are a million ways to spell "WTS".

Anyway, I'm not trying to argue really. Just saying that I anticipate the "improvements to trade system" that they are supposedly working on will negate the need for a WTS filter system.

Then again, I just can't resist putting up another example up for filtering:

I understand that, I was just trying to explain to OP that fuzzy matching filters are not that easy to outsmart. Knowing how regexp work I can come up with workaround, but it is as easy to kill that workaround aswell. And no, solution does not grow exponentially from amount of ways to spam.

Edit: I still can understand why people pay more attention to this thread rather than one where I suggested to remove ignore list limit, because that would be easiest and ultimate solution to all problems.

What do you mean by WTS jerks? you mean spammers right calling people jerks for typing WTS is just plain dumb as I bet you've type WTS once in guild wars. But im preety sure you mean Spammers

As I tell you trying to sell things ruins the game completly its so borring more boring than farming. I got a perfect sundering fellblade it has 15% allways on it to. And I got desprite and asked 100k + 10 ecto when it should be 100k + 50. Why sell it so cheap so I don't have to spend anouther hour in Droks pressing enter, up and enter again again and again.

People that moan about Trade channel and dist 1 places its preety simple just don't go in them there are only for Trading purposes anyway.

There is no way you can ever nerf trade channel or anyway you can stop people from using all chat, as there are so many ways round it and I seriously dought arena net care about it.

They are going to do something about it and thats the auction house I think that should be their main fix at the moment as people who havn't got their Collectors Edition Factions will at least be able to make money ready for Factions but still be able to get some titles eg Explorer, drunkerd etc.

So all this talk of 5 min mutes is just plain dumb as people will just find away round it, also the only reason people do that is 1. their a bot or 2. they have gotten that desprite. Also if you put someone who is trading on your ignore list then in future refrense you've not only lost a possible customer but maybe someone who will give you a bargain in the futrue.

as useless the trade channel is, its something at least an avenue for traders to spam in to remove it without implementing the AH would be a total chaos.
