I know this probably isn't the most original idea and it has probably been suggested before but here it is.

I know I am not the only person who is sick of waiting for Luxons or Kurziaks (sp?) to finally make up a group and fight! I remember waiting upto 10 minutes for the picky luxons to make a group and then when we finally got into a battle, got my butt handed to me because we where so mad at them and just wated revenge and not thinking clearly. I had to wait 10 minutes for maybe a 7 minute battle and get a little over 200 faction...o boy...
I know we could do the same thing and to plan and conquer that way but when you are trying to get a quick battle in before dinner and you end up having to wait for some one else to finally choose someone...it doesn't seem fair. (sorry if I offended any Luxons)

My suggesting,

For everytime we have to wait for another group to be formed on the other side, the waiting side should get a small amount of faction just a small amount like 20 to hold us over and not to lose our tempers completely.

hmmm not sure on that idea to be honest what if people went afk to reap the rewards...sorry its not very optimistic but a tactic I use with my ranger when looking for groups is to realling sell yourself so say what you char can do for example my ranger can Blind, Heal, interupt and fire the more you tell em what your good at you should get in no proberlem.

Heck (looking at your name your a necro) well if you just say necro LFG well that could mean anything if you said Neco lfg I have ss batery and MM skills people would proberly think hey we could do with a battery and SS comes in handy! bob's your uncle your in a party!

But yeah I havn't played any part of factions yet as I want to completly complete Tryria first so when I get to Cantha all the bugs are fixed and I havn't got to much to worry about. But all it is, is that you want to be accepted into groups quicker which is fine completely understand just try out my tactic see what happens and report back

I don't think he's talking about rewarding people for waiting to find a group, but rather groups that have to deal with that annoying "No opposing party" message you get after you hit Enter Mission, but there are no Luxons available to fill the other side.

Yeah sure do that I had to wait over an hour for a battle with the kuricks just left the thing running in the background. So i would have got the waiting faction and the 600 faction.

Kinda hard to get faction (without resorting to the repeatable quests... I'd like to do more competitive missions) when there's no Kurzick around to fight. Hopefully this problem will go away once more people get down to the Jade Sea/Echovald, but I wouldn't mind seeing a small "make-up" faction reward... you know, since I'm still trying to help your faction in the battle and all. After all, it's not my fault if the other side is too afraid of me to field a team of warriors for me to crush.

As for the concern that people would go afk to reap the rewards, maybe make it so that you have to speak to the commander to get the faction before the 30s timer is up or something. Besides, if people go afk, that just means that they lose when the mission actually does start.
