I see nothing wrong with gaining 1 Fame for each cycle of a skill point.

well, I want to see what other people think about #2. IMO, gaining fame is irrelevant to gaining PvP experience, still, I think those characters should be given something else other than a skill point that can only open up core skills. from a guild hall trainer which costs...100k...^^
otherwise

3 = the way it is now, just ignore the experience points. Anet has much more important matters to attend than to remove something that doesn't impact the gameplay at all.

Really?!??! Like what? Nerfing skills?
Please... They want people to make suggestions. This was one!!!
They don't have anything at all to do but think about the next chapter. Or make new Xmas events. Please don't feed bull to anyone.
Besides this is a thing they should have thought about on their own. A lot of things don't make sense in the game but everyone just goes along. They want a voice from us, here is the voice.
Enough with people that play just to play. Things are not good, the game will not last if they keep on making idiotic upgrades. Start doing something that makes sense.
Besides it is not necessary to get points at all. IMO I think those points should be eliminated. But for the love of god, don't give something that I can't use.

disagree with 3 because I take my pve ranger into the arenas fairly regularly. I don't mind getting XP on him at all.

Can't you transfer some money to the character and buy a skill from the trainer in the Guild Hall ? I thought this was ANet's fix to this issue.

Unfortunately not. That is why I opened this post.
What I am saying PvE chars should still get XP points but what is the PvP char going to do with the skill points from XP? Initally everyone thought it was going to be possible to use this points with guild trainer in the guild hall, but reality is that it does not work that way. That is why in my initial post I suggested the 3 options. Again I'll say it again, I really don't need the extra skills or the fame, but I think it is a none sense having points that I can't spend. Please think about it.

Forgive me for pestering you about this, but are you completely sure ? Have you taken a PvP character to the Guild Hall skill trainer (if your guild has that facility) and attempted to buy a skill yourself ?

You should be able to transfer skill points between any PVP character to any PVE character. This should have been implemented months ago. I have a ton of useless skill points on my PVP characters. I earned those points, so I should be able to use them.
Getting only 1 fame point for a skill point is an asinine idea. One skill point takes vastly more time and energy to get on a PVP character than 1 fame point does. If you are gonna exchange 1 skill point for Fame, then it should be 1 skill point = 100 fame.

I can agree with that. Unfortunately it would only apply to PvP-Charactars, meaning everyone who's using their PvE to gain even a slight advantage in PvP is out of luck.

wouldnt this make it even easier for a pvp player to get skills? I mean a pve player needs xp + 1000k. a pvp player can get skills thru xp +1000k (possibly even less, since you havent bought as many skills) OR 1000 balth faction, with this idea.
And if you delete the pvp character, you wouldnt have to buy it again, since its unlocked. sorta unbalanced I think.
