Thirsty river changes
ok, something has got to change, Thirsty River is damn near impossible to do! Here is my beef, in order to complete this mission you need a highly skilled, experienced team of 19s and 20s, fine, but do you know how long it takes to find a group like that? My suggestion is that the difficulty of this mission be drastically reduced so that normal players can complete, im not saying that lvl 14 and 15s should be getting through this, but I have tried this mission 3 times (tried to find a group about 6 but only succeded half the time) and failed due to bad plans and/or people who leave at the drop of a hat. Now I understand that the missions should be hard at this level, but I know that most people (like me) dont have an entire afternoon to devote to one mission. Anyway, I hope to see this problem get addressed. It should be known that I am a lvl 19 R/E nuker and the best team I was on for this mish included two lvl 20 warriors, two levels 20 healers, myself and a lvl 20 necro, pretty damn good group if you ask me and we died on the last battle about halfway through it.

I'm not sure about this, but I think after factions, the bosses got a bit of a buff.
However, its pretty straight forward to do. The only real difficulty is if you don't have interupts for the Monk boss, but if you can lure him out of his hole, then its staight forward again.

I tried at least 10 times spending 3 days trying to get teams. Got fed up took hencies and did it with no deaths. In starter armour as well The problem really is the lvl of skill in most groups. People dont attack the called targets unlike henchies or they run away dragging half the mobs into the backline etc.

Change your build. If you can't beat it with one thing try something else. You said you're a R/E nuker...thats probably not the best idea for Thirsty. My Ranger had no problems at all with Thirsty because she ran interrupts.
PUGs often fail at the monk boss. If you have someone interrupting those heals then that last group is incredibly easy.
Try changing your build around a bit, if you can't beat it one way, try another.

Thanks for the advice, I should sya that im not so much mad at it as I am bored doing the same mish over and over again, but anyway, I would try an interuppt ranger except im horrible at and I odnt know how to play it effectively, but ill check the guild boards and see if I cant pull it of. Its nice to hear that some people beat it with henchies, I havent tried because everyone ive talked to says its a waste of time. Well then, thanks for the advice/ideas, ill try it with the henchies and post how it goes

Yeap Interrupts and Traps are the best for this and most missions past this and when I did this I accidently took out my Troll Urgent although I was spamminng paristic bond like nothing the only Necro skill on my bar.It is not that hard although i have had problems with henchies and there are those who can run it.
To play an interruptor is not that hard just keep you eye on what skill is cominng up next with your fingers on you keys and hit them.

And not saying anything isn't possible with henchies, but everyone says they have done everything with henchies or at incredibly low levels or solo'd it, but hey, it's just words, doesn't mean they actually did it. I could tell you that I beat the whole game with just me and Gwen and her sundering flute of enchanting. <wink>

Nothing wrong with Thristy River, it's just the players that suck.
I ran the entire desert with Henchies with no problems in less than half the time it took you to get 4 people with specific builds in your party.

Ive done this mission over 50x in a row without failure using 1 Warrior 1 Ele and 2 hench (oh and I totaly suck at gw so if I can anyone can). Its simple, you just need to know the rules. Same goes for all things in the game.

I managed it with my warrior (lvl 11 at the time) with henchies. PuGs can be retards (eles with hammers etc.)
