Default Cash Limit X_X

Why must there be a cash limit? right now you can only have 1600k max on all charactors and storage....Why must the storage be limited? It would be different if ectos/rubies/saphires/shards were a steady market. I have just experienced this...I bought 200 ectos at 5k each a few days ago, so I could start making cash again, but ectos dropped to 4.5...I instantly lost 100k, or a 4 hours profit...and some people don't have all day to make that back. Also, the amount of money you can carry on you...I'm still forced to waste time buying ectos...and not many people sell them anyway, and usually 500-1k more than they should be. Its either that or risk getting scammed in a two/three/four times trade...Holding armor? pfft....what does it matter to me? Rare Mat trader is usually 500-1000 more than market price, so you lose profit anyway, unless you buy them.

My solution: Make the storage able to hold an infinate amount of cash...I don't see any unbalenceing issues with this, also hold at least up to 1000k cash with you, as most trades are usually below this.

Why do you need over 1000K? Maybe if your a gold farmer, but there's no point.

If you had time to make over 1000k, i dont think a 100k hit should bother you too much....
1600k is ample space for cash seeing as over 50% of GW accounts have below 20k at anytime anyway

can anyone say "ebay"?

Wow, DaerunAxis...Wow, just wow...Just because 50% doesn't have over 20k at a time doesnt mean us players w/ a bit more gold should have such a limited space. That's 50% of players who could possibly have more storage. You think someone that has more gold than you eBays? LOL. Personally, I wish we could hold maybe 500k cash, storage at 5 Mil. People w/ more than that, well, the 500g prices won't affect them that much . Especially because w/ 500K x 6 = 3 Mil + 5 Mil = 8 Million in cash at a time. That would be suitable for many players as a quite a few people are millionaires but not like obnoxiously rich like 20 Mil +. The amount of people w/ that much could probably be counted with my two hands.

And yes, the problem would be solved if there was a solution like stable rare material prices, but alas, ANet probably didn't intend for people to have more than like 1.6 Mil at a time anyways. Rich haters !

I would sat that not all people that have more then 1000k is ebayers, I have 1000k+ and that is because I play thinking like I am broke, and when I do have cash I load it all into storage so my inventory shows 0 gold to keep me in the broke mind set. Once storage is 1000k I go on a character I don't play much and store it on him.

I resently bought a kuunavang for 100k +16 candy canes and 2 ecto, I had 900k then forgot my monk had 100k resting on him. :-D But the point here is it would be nice to have a solid way to invest this money, for now ecto is a nice way, but ecto is a stock market item that fluctuates, and will steadly loose its value unless the FoW armor gets different looks because frankly factions armor looks 10x better in my opinion.

I like the idea of more space, but then again once you do have 1000k investing the overflow on ecto is not that big of a deal, because in the end you will still have something to craft armor with. :-/

But these 'some people' who had time to make 1600k in the first place, don't have time to make 100k back?

Who said I made it in a day or a week? or a month? I didn't say anything about how long it took. For all you know, it could have taken months (which it did). And another...I made my cash in honest ways...Not ebay.

It's one of the hard limits on that help keeping costs down. There will allways be 100P + X Items. All you do is increase the 1st number. The + X item is not going to go away.

Also you with the ability to buy new character slots in the future, 10$ = 100k storage. So if you want to hold 1000P it will cost you $100 and you will have a ton of space.

Farming nerfs are taking in effect and making gold is harder, sooner or later you buy your ectos and getting the same ammount of gold back will be harder.

/ No way. if anything I would like to see LESS space for gold. Lets look at it like this. 1,600,000 gold coins... Even is its 1,600 Platinum Bars... Who the heck would be able to carry that on their person, Physically??? Odin??? Thor??? Maybe... Hercules Pushing it... Human Tyran or Cantan... NP. lol yea right...

And the shear fact that you have that much gold on you tells me 1 of 2 possible things. Either you are a farming employee that sells their gold though hours of farming to reselling exchanges...

Or your a Ebay broker.

Ok there is one more option that's possible. But its the case if your either of the above as well. Your an idiot.

In other words, Its never been about the goodies or the amount of gold you have. its about skill. Farming is worthless. Ecto is worthless, Amber is worthless, anything in the game is worthless. The only thing of worth in the game is the skill of the player. As every item in the game is basically free as it drops rather easily, OR has a equivalent Collector of crafter counterpart. As such the people that hoard gold as you do, dont really get much for your effort. so why bother. When an equivalent or superior Collector item can be obtained for free, OR even better craft your own and put the mods you want on it to make it as good as you want.

This is not a marketplace game. but people constantly think it is. Its never been about what you have, its been about what you do with it. so those with less then 20K are no less happy then those with a million gold. Its just the people with a million THINK they are better then everyone else for their foolish farming and hoarding, or worse they USE Ebay or Gold Exchanges and think this, because we follow the rules and don't buy gold...

or you are a person that just hoards every single piece of gold they get and don't spend it on anything. the most gold i made recently was selling that CE dragon i got. now with the games economy as it is 100k is as useful for crafting 15k armor and nothing more. farming the materials is tedious and boring and the runs keep getting nerfed. strange how that works, you play a game that encourges farming to make money then that source is cut off.

What on earth could you possibly need more than 1600k for? Usually, I have around 5-10k on me. I have never had over 100k, although in the course of the game I would bet I have had 1 million plat. If you have that much, spend it on something fun. There's really no point to having that much gold. Throw it back in the economy and keep things rolling.

I think there's a limit for the amount you can have on you for a reason. If there wasn't, I wonder how long it would take for people to start asking for a mil for a single item. For storage, I've never had more than a little over 320k in there, but I usually spend it right away as soon as I get it.

i run into this problem alot now, i do constant gold farming and sell them and mods, and have over 700k at this point, but if i want to buy a new skinned perfect axe im screwed and have to get ectos. im an axe warrior and damn lucky a 15^50 max celestial axe droped for me that i could mod to be perfect, same for my zodiac axe, but for people who dont have my luck with gold drops and want to buy these weapons and have the money, ebay or earned in game i dont care, then they are up a creek. this wont cause any extra strain on the servers and hard drive space they have, atleast nothing major.

Only reason why there's a cap on storage and characters so the player would buy more accouts to mule on.
