Concept Mission: Competitive PvE
Basically atm we already have co-op missions where 2 teams of 8 co-operate to get a mission done.
How about have a PvE mission type thing where there are quite decent rewards but have it so that the two teams can compete for the rewards battling through a mission area but also have to watch out for an enemy team (maybe Luxon vs Kurzicks)
I was thinking an area with good drops in a central area, but you have to do a bit of fighting before you get there vs monsters. In the central area, you have boss monsters where the team that inflicts the most damage gets the drops from those bosses/central area monsters.
To prevent farming abuse, you have an opposing team, who obviously also want the drops, and you can have a fight against them as well. Of course, you have to strike a fine line between decimating your opponent and making sure you still have enough strength to kill the monsters.
Why I suggest it, this will make PvE more dynamic, since the PvP metagame is evolving all the time whereas you generally get a few people design a cookie cutter build to farm an area over and over. However, all farming builds exploit the stupidity of the opposing monsters. This is to try to remove some of this inherant stupidity by adding an intelligent opponent.

great idea on the farming nerf... or farming ward^^

I tell you, the more people come up with ways to make things even more active... thats great^^
The current Co-op works similar, because only the 'team' that killed the monster gains that experience, and not both teams. But alas, that's experience.
The only element that would change is the addition of a PvP concept. Which... people are still moaning over...

Well, I am in the camp that loves both (although starting to find PvE stale) so this is my view ^^

Once competition vs another player enters PvE, it's PvP. Rewards for PvE should be kept in PvE.
It's a good idea though for a PvP game. Maybe something like it should be put on Battle Isle. The drops would help the slower speed of unlocks I hear PvPers moan about.
