Proposal: Deny drops to dead henchmen
With reference to this thread:
Item drops for dead players (in party)
Plus recent personal experience, I concluded that item drops are assigned for dead characters as well, henchmen included.
As shown in the above image, I was attempting to farm for Tarmen's Shield, by exploting the henchmen in some manner.
A discussion about whether or not dead characters should get a share of the drops or not can be found in that thread, and I concluded that dead characters of human players should get a fair chance to get the item drop assigned to them, or else it would be very unfair.
However, since henchmen are not controlled by human players, here in this thread, I am proposing that - dead henchmen do not get item drops assigned to them unless they are resurrected.
Yes, I am also a farmer who is attempting to exploit these poor henchies to my own advantage, hence I doubt I will get any public support for this idea.
However, I figured it would be fun to post this in here and see what responses I would get.
And yes, my threads in Sardelac will have polls, as usual.

Why should hench get anything? We "hire" them, but so what. We hire them for help and their intelligence is terrible. Look at how the monks will res at the same time and in order of "importance".

I think it would mess things up, if in a ToPK run a ss necro wil aggro everythings and then let the drops fall for the people who are still alive maybe 1-2 people

You used the word twice on why they would never do this.
Exploit.
Why would they add an exploit into the game? They are constantly removing them...
Just because a henchmen died doesn't mean that all of a sudden you should start getting more drops. That doesn't happen to you does it? How about when you were level 5 and got ran to Droks. You did all those missions with henchmen to level up and get farther in the game at a lower level. You sure did die a lot, did the henchmen get all your drops while you were dead 80% of the time? Nope.
I understand why you want this, to exploit it, but that just seems somewhat...silly to me. If you had a good reason for this, I could maybe reconsider, but just to use it to farm and get all the drops...thats just...not the way this game is meant to be played.

If you want his shield, solo him, or team up with friends who would be willing to give it to you.
What you are asking for is totally unreasonable.

and to hear the rest of posters here and there the henchies are BETTER than the average PUG.
you dont hire them and they do 7/8 of the work so you are lucky they let you have a share (maybe they should rate you and vote if you deserve a thing)

No, dead henchies should keep their drops, just like dead party members do (assuming they're rezzed). Otherwise someone will take out a full party of henchies, let them all die, and enjoy more drops than they should.

if a dead henchman would loose his drops, people would just not team up with real people anymore, exept for "hard and important stuff"
