Anet please change the way Alliances are maintained!
Currently only the leader of the guild which is leading an alliance has the power to change alliance leadership, and to admit new guilds into the alliance.
There may have been a really good reason for this, but this design is causing an incredible amount of inconvenience with our alliance. Our guild is the leader of the alliance, and our guild leader is away at the moment. No one knows where. Vacation perhaps? Work related travel? No one knows.
We are currently an alliance of three really friendly guilds, enjoying each others companies often. We now have 2 or 3 similar guilds that want to join our alliance. But nothing can be done about this until this one person returns.
Anet should definitely not have such a responsibility rest on only one single individual. Just like all guild officers can administer guild membership (not just the leader), the power to administer alliance membership should be given to more than one person. As a suggestion, all leaders of ALL alliance guilds should have this power.
Anet please help! All of us in the alliance and the guilds that want to join our alliance are frustrated about this. And we do not wish to lose these friendly guilds to another alliance.
P.S: Here I should mention that our guild is a well functioning one, respecting a player's right to play as much as he/she wishes, and to take as many breaks from the game as he/she wishes. Since there are numerous officers, the absence of our guild leader usually causes no difficulties at all. But of course not in this case, as our guild leader is the only one who can administer the alliance memberships.
