Guild Roster
Hi, first all I'm new to the forums, be easy on me. I read the index of ideas thread and some stuff I wanted to post was already there. The *name* had left the guild and the regulate officers idea. Very happy this is supported by alot of forum members. Hope anet will listen to it like they did with alot of other things.
However I haven't seen the next thing and that is simply more ranks in the guild roster because right now it's an absolute hell for a large guild to keep track of everything. I have been leading large guilds in the past (red alert 2, diablo 2) and now I'm officer in GW (well officer, more co-leading) however I am having more and more problems to control a 70+ member guild which is getting bigger and bigger.
My guild has a probation system, we watch members for 3 weeks before we officially let them in. But now they are mixed within the full members and it's sometimes hard to notice who are actually new.
We have more ranks (on forum) which we can't translate to the game because there are only 3 rank.
We use the forum alot unlike some guilds, this means however we have a memberlist with boardnames and their ingame name. Keeping track of 70+ members... you get the clue. more ranks would certainly help my guild, and I'm sure many others, alot. Together with *name* has left the guild log would allow us to run the guild like we want and not how anet designed it (no offence) Every guild is special and I really think this could help to show the individualism of every guild.

lol sorry for some reason i couldnt bring myself to read the previous post.. but im in agreement with the thread starter more ranks ftw! Even if they didnt give any privelidges it would still be cool theres a lot of members in my guild who are active frequently and i wouldnt mind psuedo-rewarding them plus it would mean new members would be at the bottom til they had been with us for a while.. I saw a suggestion in another thread to make guild leaders have the ability to create titles, this would give guilds with specific themes in their names a bit more creativity with their guild.. hopefully one day it will come.. maybe Ch.4 tbh tho

Guest inviting somebody for 3 weeks is exponentially more expensive with gold than anything remotly worth while.
Although i think the introduction of additional ranks is somewhat flawed, I mean Private, Colnel, Lieuenant, Seargant, Major, where does it end. Many suggestions have been put forward to fix the unrecognisable name son the rostra.
Showing account name, for one would be quite good. But id be an old favourite of being able to reogranise the list on your GUI, like you can order the skills list by varying factors, such as Attribute, Class etc. Be able to view the Guild Rostra under options such as "Join Date", "Current Class", "Alphabetical", "Normal View" etc would allow most people to be content with the Rostra as it is.

More ranks would be nice for the simple reason that not everyone can be an officer (unless you're some crazy Communist) - however some people do make contributions to the guild that earn them a promotion to the sort of, middle ground between officer and member. Even if it was just ceremonial, I think more ranks would be great.

you can even make jokes about it if it was entirely customizable
