Default Using rubys, sapphires and other gems or rares for something like weapons!

Um... tried searching but couldn't find anything related exactly to this. If there is a thread, blame me and add link...thx...

I was down in FoW to get some shards, but there are several groups that fail because of idiots (noobs or call em whatever u want). Last time I got nothing except a sapphire. It was my first one actually, and as far as I know it's not used for anything right now in the game, just like rubys. I heard rumors that they will be used for new armors, but in Factions, jadeite and amber came for that purpose.

So my idea is: Why not add more gems (cause I only know about rubys and sapphires so far) like diamonds and so on, and let these gems be used to customize weapons. Maybe even off-hand items. These gems would add glowing, swirling or small kinda exploding effects on our weapons, in different colours, depending on the gem's colour. Like a ruby would add red effects, a sapphire would add blue effects, a diamond would add white effects and so on...

No stat changes so balance could be kept...
