Default The Unglorified Battle.

If you dont want to read the following, skip to the bottom to get the jist of it.

In my GW career I have had a hard time finding a guild that has been able to find a dedicated team of experienced players to participate in GvG and HoH. Infact its been such a hard time that I have not found one yet. No matter how much effort puts into a guild, it is all for nothing if the rest of the guild doesnt follow suit. This got me to thinking why so many guilds strive so hard to find a place in the HoH and GvG spectrum, and I realized...Rank.

GvG allows members of the guild to gain their glory as an entire team. Hell it allows them to earn cash, titles and standings beyond their wildest dreams if they are good at it. As well, HoH allows every member of the guild to earn Individual rank, and with decent team, this can add up fairly quick. And when one does win the HoH, everybody knows it, it says it everytime someone does to everybody in the game. I'm sure you all have heard of Illicit Awakening or Titanic Deck Chair Attendants. But there is one team oriented style of play this unglorified in almost every aspect... Team Arenas. With the addition of Gladiator Ranks, the Team Arenas have obtained some sort of individual glory, but nothing to the extent as the other two areas have.

I go into the Team Arenas district and there is maybe half a district to a full one sometimes. I go into Heroes Ascent and that thing is packed full in the first dist. I asked some players: "Why do you think Team Arenas has not gotten the ranking system the Guild Ladder and Hall of Heroes Has Gotten?" One response was that TA is less people and therefore less strategy. Another one said the variable arenas that can screw with tactics. Well I don't believe that because there is less people there is less strategy to have, I think there is merely different ways of going about it. And as for the different winning conditions, that is something I think should also be changed.

So my suggestion is put into place a form of ranking for those who partake in the team arenas that isnt as... how would I say..."unlogical" as the current 10 win streaks, and place some way for team arena participants to be recognized, like the GvG and HoH battling has. There is now more glory in completing missions than TA. Don't get me wrong, I love how players can hold a standing by completing a mission in record time, that's awesome. But there should not be more glory in fighting AI than there is in fighting against other Players. I think the winning conditions for TA should be consistent, something like the priest maps. I like those because they are unique to the arenas. Because with the way I see many players now; they are always wanting to play, but not wanting to put a great deal of work that is needed to create a successful GvG or HoH team. I think making the TA a little more renown earning would make it more enjoyable, because those of you that have earned much renown through the halls or GvG'ing, admit it, its one of the funnest things to accomplish something like that.

Quick Version:
Team Arenas should get a better ranking system and be more "glorified". Or Atleast More Logical Than The Current 25 Pts For Rank One with 10 wins for each point. Maybe more along the lines of 10-15, as well as more gladiator ranks.
The win conditions in TA should remain consitent through all matches.
I would suggest using the priest win condition as it is unique to the arenas.

I know you put a quick version at the bottom--gj--but that doesn't excuse you from needing to use paragraphs. Hit the enter key once in a while.
