This system would be similar to the way the gvg setup goes... only for each individual person. You would gain points when you won, and lose points when you lost in ANY type of pvp match. In 4v4 you would gain/lose 5 points for every win/loss, in HA or alliance battles you would gain/lose 50 points, and in gvg you would gain/lose 100 points. Obviously, the point values don't have to be set exactly that way. A personal rank ladder could also be established. Thoughts?

Note: searched "rank" under titles.

Well it could be good, but then there is the problem of leavers, inexperiences player that suck, "noobs", err 7 and any other form of lame losing. I agree there that the current rank system is fuking horrible, as im rank 3 and have ran with rank 9+ teams and have had no problems, but losing for losing a match would be not be a good thing. Testing out builds would also be very hard if it would put your rank in jeopardy.

A simple solution to that would be to add a point penalty for leaving without err.ing out.

This is a common sense idea, which because it has not been implemented looks to me awesome.

Yes! And, more even, now that it has been implement the monolitic system of titles, it would be great if fame and, then, rank were remodeled to a non monolitic system. At present it is rather time played, what is, mainly, being rewarded instead of skill; contrary to what was told to me in the introduction of Guild Wars.

The idea of earning and loosing fame is excellent. Let titles be dependent upon a permanent record of wins, but, change rank to be temporal, say seasonal, and depending upon both wins and defeats.

P.S.: this subject about rank might be considered within the suggestions for a change in fame.
