I like to have a forum in the guild where we can post news to guildmembers and officers instead of announcements. The announcements are to short for the messages i like to post.

Why don't you just use the guild announcement feature? Or, are you not a guild leader/officer?

Guild forums in game would simply waste money on ANET. There are many other items that have a much higher demand, such as auctions. Forums can use up alot of system resources, and those resources would be wasted by the thousands of 4 man guilds that are never on. I would suggest you listen to ZUI or get your own host and by an ipb/vb

I may sign this suggestion... I have already suggested some things for in-game communication like:

- off-line messaging for players
- a social channel for players LFGuild and guilds LFPlayers
- the option to flag a message (instead of the title's flag)
- a board of guilds with information about guilds for players
- a more detailed information in the guild's members panel
- a guild's board for members comunication
...

P.S.: I really do not find usefull the Alliance channel, as there is already the Guild channel, which more or less is the same.

They are quite different. Guild chat communicates with everyone in the guild and Alliance chat with everyone in all the allied guilds. If you are not part of an alliance then it is no different, other than the orange text standing out better than the green text.

Some kind of expanded messaging would be good. We have a busy forum but not everyone visits it so being able to better communicate in-game would be a good thing.
