I think the dumb cut cines should be removed altogether. CGI or nothing dont borther since the story is weak and boring after finishing the storyline multiple times.

Your post defines "not helpful". Explain why you disagree with me and maybe post a better solution if you have one in mind. There is no reason to be throwing names around and taking out your anger on others who are honestly trying to bring a change to something that many agree needs, if nothing else, to be seriously reconsidered. Otherwise you are being a hinderance to BOTH sides of the argument.

Obvious or not please explain why, I cannot read your mind. However, saying that people have not seen the cutscenes before is no reason there should not be an option to Skip/Leave it for people who have already seen it. If players who have seen it want to skip it and doing so does not have an adverse effect on the game or the players who do want to see it, there should be no reason why others should not be able to bypass it.

The storyline is an excellent one. Sure it can get a little repetitive when you are able to quote about a third of the lines word for word, but that is kind of stating the obvious.

i dont blame the new people for watching cause they wanna know full story line, and the cinmatics are pretty cool. but when ur playin on an MM and urminions die its a lil annoying. they should at least change it to like stop the life degeneration of minions.
Edit: i mean degeneration just during cut scene.

This is such a great idea, a complete win win situation and it really needs to be put into the game.

The storyline is an excellent one with good characters. Sure it can get a little repetitive when you are able to quote about a third of the lines word for word, but that is kind of stating the obvious. Every game is going to have parts that seem tedious after seeing it for the fourth or fifth time.
And removing the cutscenes completely is out of the question. As much as I dislike being forced to watch one over again, I would rather that then have them simply disappear. The cutscenes are what add depth and character to the worlds of Tyria and Cantha. Most people ignore the flavor text that is provided with quests (A big mistake in my opinion b/c some of it is actually quite good and quite funny). So cutscenes are the largest asset ArenaNet has to breath life into their world. Take them out, and missions lose any sense of purpose they had and turn into grind fests with end goals.

/signed to make the cutscene within the mission not make the group go over time. Maybe some more explanation as to how the cutscene will affect the groups 'record time'.
Also as far as cutscenes for the final part of the mission I think if one person chooses to skip the whole group should skip but maybe say within a 10 sec period, anyone in the group that hasn't skipped appears at the npc that allows you to replay the cutscene.
Should be more information that the cutscene can be replayed and from where.
EDIT: Overall I think they should remain in the game , they bring for me a clarification of where my character is at in terms of the story unfolding and can be inciteful for some parts of the events unfolding that I may be questioning. Also they can be fun to watch and have some nice visuals in them =)

So it would seem that such ideas are desired by many. As I said before, I hope that in creating this thread ArenaNet will realize the importance of such functionality and be motivated to implement the above mentioned changes to the cutscene system. Namely,
1) stopping minion decay and warrior's adrenaline decay (aka, there should not be an advantage to skiping the cutscenes)
2) avoiding unnecessary deaths of players while they do not control their characters
3) Adding a Skip/Leave button to end-of-mission cutscenes for players to skip them without having to wait for everyone else

I'd rather have an option like in Final Fantasy X (or was it X2) where you could go back and visit a movie hall type place and watch all the cutscenes and stuff, even listen to music as much as you want.

As long as they just stop minion degen while in a cut scene I would be more then happy...
Now as a nice added feature it would be cool to be able to chat with your team while in a cut scene like somewhere in the black lines (hoping they get an in game Live Team Speak options there soon) to plan what to do right after it for a good strategy or just to get the noobs to know what to do. Also to tell the one moron who did not skip to skip NOW so we don't loose all our minions!
Anyone else know my frustration in this?!

/signed for Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry
/signed for cutscenes at end of missions
/signed for cutscenes when u enter the mission outpost
/not signed for cutscenes during the mission
Why?
Because it could disrupt the flow of the mission, plus that some of those cutscenes are kinda short.
/signed for freezing Minions Health during cutscenes while doing the mission

/not signed for Fort Aspenwood and JAde Quarry. Jade Quarry cinema is quite short. Fort Aspenwood. My God people! Just leave! You have your faction, ditch, bail. If you don't understand, I've lost my faith in humanity.
/signed for the rest. If you really really really want to see the movie, talk to an NPC in town and click rewatch movie. There you go.

BowLad12, I really do not understand your logic. You support people taking a backdoor to skip the cutscene by zoning right before it starts, yet you do not support ArenaNet adding functionality that would make it easier to do essentially the same thing without having to hastily click zone before it started.

First, I do agree that skipping cutscenes should in no way affect the mission. But as far as I can tell being able to skip the ENDING cutscenes should not affect anything. Obviously you cannot skip middle-of-the-mission cutscenes as I have mentioned before.
Second, just because SOME of the cutscenes are short doesn't change anything. MANY of them are actually quite long, especially when you are forced to watch them for the sixth or seventh time.
