Are you ppl serious as GW is not your average MMO it is a CCO and if you look in the thread /timeemote you will see what said in there.I wouldn't mind seeing rain but when it is time to turn Ascalon back to it former Glory like it was in Pre although it could rain in Kryta.

A day/night cycle would be very hard to implement, and not worth it for ANet.

However, I support a weather cycle--snow/rain/etc

Actually, I'd like a time elapsed clock like what you have in PVP, so that I can time my hexes accordingly.

But that would be cool as well.

Conflicts with mission if the time changes

2 words: Riverside Province

No way to do a sunny stealthy mission

I like this idea but I see many problems with it.

I've played MMORPGs with Day/Night cycles and Rain/Snow cycles. They are just cool for the first week, then pointless, then just annoying.

Daytime: never lasts long enough
Nightime: always ends up being too dark
Rain: lags the servers and/or players
Snow: same as rain, only worse

Therefore I am against a day/night and rain/snow addition. They just end up being a pointless waste of server resources.

About a real-time clock in game, yes I would like that. It would serve many purposes:

See what time it is: sleeping, eating, going to work
Time your gaming: meet others in game at a place at a specific time
Time your casting: many spells have timing requirements to maximize their effectiveness.
Know when events are happening: they post on the GW site that something is happening at X time, so you look at your in game clock to check.

They already put in the "you have been playing for X hours" so why not a clock too?

Still, I'm wanting an in-game clock that is independant of someones time zone, simply because it would make arranging groups much eaiser if people used it. I've tried using GMT with my previous guild but there were always a few people that didn't quite get the concept. Having an in-game clock, even if it just displays GMT, would make that much eaiser.

But if the clock shows a different time depending on each persons timezone, then it will become useless except for day/night cycles, which I doubt will happen (and if they do happen, I see no problem with having them run seperate to the in-game clock).
Agreed, totally.
