Worries about GW Policies
I've been concerned because Guild Wars seems to be getting away from some of the things that orgionally distinguished it from other game, and were the sort of reason I bought it.
One of my issues with Factions is how much exclusive content their is for members of the largest alliances. One of the origional ideas in Guild Wars was that the size of your guild wasn't supposed to matter, and how much time you spent playing the game wouldn't determine who was the stronger character. In stark opposition to this is alliances, where larger alliances with more members who play more can gain access to exclusive missions where they can gain excellent equipment (it's my understanding that the special missions drop Zodiac gear, which is more likely to have good mods). It worries me that someone could gain so much for nothing other than farming, and not having a life outside Guild Wars.
I also worry because Guild Wars was supposed to have at least some updates that would retroactively apply to past games too, the example given at the time being the traders. Now, the Xunlai Agents (who are everywhere, and have been since the game's release) are gaining a functionality update (more storage), but it is not being applied to players who don't own Factions.
I don't understand why Guild Wars is making so many policy changes, nor why some of the basic design philosophies are changing and becoming more like the standard RPG's I don't like as much (and don't buy).

Well, good mods aren't that hard to come buy, they are usually pretty cheap to buy, and it's REALLY easy to get a max req9 weapon (weapon crafter). It's not hard to get you a sword or staff just as good as the next guy. It just won't be GOLD, and it won't have this amazing skin (I personally don't like most zodiac skins, nor do I like the look of the crystalline swords or dwarven axes - lucky for me, eh?). Elite missions are supposed to offer neat weapon SKINS for those that want them. It's all aesthetics, yo.
However, I completely agree with you about the storage problem. I was like >:O when I first found out it was ONLY going to be for factions... I feel bad for my friends.
I wish we had one chapter of guild wars each year, and instead, the other team was just working on updates, suprise goodies, storage problems, etc. I'm curious as to what is going to happen with so many chapters. "I have chapters 1, 3, and 5, so I don't have the extra storage from chapter 2..."

Well, we don't have to grind for levels. Sure, we have to grind for gold, but it was basically them saying, "You don't have to grind for gold... Unless you want to look good!! *Slaps player*".

This is very false.
