You can already put runes on event helms, and dye them too.
They're not supposed to be used for general purpose playing, that's the whole point... besides would probably wear thin having parties of pumpkin heads and santas for quests. The system is fine as it is - they're novelty items, collectable and for fun.

And it takes one slot of your already limited storage space.

agreed, these items are not meant to be replacements for the current helmets avaliable at crafters.
They are for fun, to give your character a unique look and not to be used as another piece of armour, making your suggested changes would divert from the reason why these masks were created in the first place.

They are civilian hats. Not meant for military purposes and therefore no protection. However, you can infuse them and put a rune. Dragon masks can be dyed too.
There is some situations where armor doesn't matter or 0 armor is actually the best choice. Some use after all.

Exactly they are to be worn in towns. After awhile I'd get really sick of seeing everyone wear a pumpkin head ect. If they wanted to they could make a special type of armor in which you have to complete a quest but these event masks are just for fun and i'm glade they are.

just make next events bring up a crafter window, with all the different types of helm for your profession in event-mask form. full armor, full +attributes, hex helm, everything! then everyone would actually use them other than when theyre afk or acting like fools.

This is exactly what we don't need -- the effort would be much better spent on increasing general storage, fixing/improving the trade system, etc. These are novelty items meant for fun/collecting. You don't have to get them for every character (or at all, for that matter), and I see no reason why they should be buffed so people can run around with them when doing serious questing.

Heh-if such was ever integrated, we would never see any of hte old artwork but only event helms...
As mentioned already-these are simply fun items, they are not meant or made to be used in combat *even though u can if u want *

I actually like the idea. Or give special event masks a special ability, like when you wear em, your weapons have fire dmg or something.
