Already losing the use of a shield or focus along with attacking the slowest out of all weapons. How is an extra energy per hit overpowering?

OK, Barrage is used in 'specialized builds' because it's an ELITE. Elites are desinged in such a way that you make a build around the elite, so therefore specialized. 1/-1 Zealous for bows is perfectly fine and not just because of Barrage, but also because Rangers have an extra Energy pip to expend and they have Expertise. They simply don't have energy problems.

/signed on the 2/-1 Hammer upgrade, though. I'd actually use it, then.

You have to think about how much energy you need as a hammer warrior and I think that's a problem that's already been addressed and most experienced hammer warriors would know better, right now as it is is balanced, just because some people don't use it doesn't mean it needs a buff.
