Beast Master Concept class
im sure this has been done in some form before, but after posting tjis as an example elsewhere i decided to post it here as well... feel freem to criticize or praise as you will.
Beast Master
Attributes
Beast Mastery (primary)
For Every 3 points (beyond 1) in Beast mastery you can tame 1 additional pet. The maximum level of your pets is your level of beast mastery. Points in Beast Mastery also increase the effectiveness of your Beast mastery skills (at 0, 1 you can tame 1 pet, this increases to 6 pets at 16)
Beast Form
Points in this increase the duration and effectiveness of beast form skills
Survival
Points in survival increase the effectiveness of abilities which aid your survival in combat or allow you to adapt to and control the environment around you.
Staff Mastery
Points in staff mastery increase the effectiveness of staff attacks (bo staff, not caster staff) and increase the chance of critical strikes with staffs.
The Beast master is a master of his environment and is in tune with teh nature around him. Able to tame an army of beasts which fight for him he is an effective mm type character. the beasts he can bring to battle may be lower in number than mm pets but they last lonfger and are availible at the start of battle. (6 pets max with a 16 level cap on each). Pets are not considered summoned creatures and as such do not beneft from many ritualist and necromancer powers.
the beast master has 2 primary forms of combat, the first of which is the close combat staff. this is a very fast attack style which can provide effective defense with moderate attack power. The second is where they shinein aggressive close combat, his is beast form. beast form attacks either are beast form stances, changing the user into a half beast for a time which can deal decent damage in close quarters, or Best form attacks, which are usable only while in beast form stances and deal decent spike damage.
Beast masters round out with Survival, these powers are meant to help the beast master survive in any environment. They include trap skills, survival skills, preparations, and environmental effects (like forest fire which causes all creatues in the area to catch fire while in the area, this could be offset by the survival skill fireproof which lessens fire damage and prevents burning at the expense of mana degen.
all in all the beast master would be an expansion on the Ranger and necr concepts with alot of its own flair...
ok for a bit more explination here are a few sample powers.
the format is as follows
energy/cast time/recharge
Beast Mastery Skills:
Tame: 10/10/-
Tame target animal. Once Tamed, your animal companions will travel with yoy whenever you have Tame equipped. You can tame a maximum of (1...6) animals.
Dire Beasts: 15/1/60
When activated, your animal companions in the area are enchanted with Dire Beasts. Dire Beasts increases your pets maximum hp by (100...300), Youre pets also deal an additional (1...10) Damage in combat. Dire beasts lasts (10...30) seconds.
bah its 1am i have to crash for the night i'll add more tomorrow, i'll aim for 10 skills per attribute.

Its not bad, and do sound interesting. But I don't like th primary too much thought. Would like to see more description on skills in the Survival attribute, especially the enviroment control part.
Personally, I would still perfer a Druid with spiritual summoning beast...

or a druid who can just morph into pets be cool. The primary almost sounds kinda overpowered... you get 1 pet per level you said? Sounds a bit much.
edit* my bad you said 6 max.. still pretty high because you probably could still be a bm/r and literally beast on people lol

read again 1 pet per 3 levels beyond 1
so 1 rank = 1 pet
2-4 ranks =2
5-7=3
8-11=4
12-15=5
and 16=6
also the pts level is limited by the attribute, therefore making pets weaker than max ranger pets.

Dire Beasts -> thats 60 more damage per hit given you have 6 pets.
They would need a major pet heal spell, do you know how annoying it would be to have to keep 6 pets alive? Lvl 16 ones none the less!
Can you charm a 7th pet with charm animal?
How would these cope with current beast mastery skills. Call of haste, Call of protection, symbiotic bond, would all be rediculously good if you had 6 pets. Also what happens if you used say, ferocious strike or enraged lunge? Do all 6 of your pets hit for +80 damage? Nothing like a 480+ damage spike with 1 skill.
I don't see this working with the ranger beast mastery in the game already. I am really looking forward to a shape shifting class in nightfall though! If there isn't a shapeshifting class in nightfall I'm not buying!

This sounds well.......okay a few flaws but i give a thumbs up on the most part and for the whole shape shifting thing i was expecting more of a charge like a shout
example= SPIRIT LION
10 energy 1 sec charge 30 second recharge
for (11-30) seconds your attacks strike for (6-20) more damage
or something along those lines to give an edge
SPIRIT TURTLE= defence or whatever
what do you think
PS how do you get stuff like ministry of knowledge under your names not the picture but the words
