Instead of thinking of a viable nerf for thumpers, they decide to completely trash a line of skills.

I am talking about beastmastery. How often do you actually see people running non-thumper beastmastery based rangers in high-end GvG? Never.

I agree completely that thumpers needed a nerf. Thumpers. I wanted a thumper nerf, not a complete obliteration of an entire skill line. Instead of thinking about how to make beastmastery a viable skill-line, they decide to trash the pets.

At 60% DP pets die in two hits from just about anything. This wouldn't be so bad... if it weren't for the fact that pets are squishy as hell and they most go into the monk backlines just like warriors to be effective.

My suggestion: Fire whoever came up with these "skill-balances", either increase the armor/health of pets or do away with the pet DP.

Do you have any proof of that? Gaile atleast mentioned that pet-DP was all big rumor, that no-one proved right

Well I actually bothered reading the thread and it seems it's intended change, Gaile was just.. unaware of stuff as usual.

Again, it was intended to be like that all the time, but it was "bugged"

Pets gain DP along with players in PvP, PvE is unchanged [for now], so just.. take care of your pets so they don't collect DP ;p

Yes, tell that to my DP'd pet who keeps getting spiked because of their obscenely low armor for something that has to actually be in the frontlines of battle... with only 1-2 viable non-elite self-heal skills, who is unable to kite and very unresponsive in retreats.

How anyone who can support a nerf to an already underpowered skilline is beyond me.

omfg i was actually waiting for IWAY to be nurfed not buffed......... and well, i was actually happy knowing that in PVE i have my personal mini tank or damage help called "Dire White Tiger"...... now ill have to bring 7 skills to make him live after 2 deaths.....

On a less-...douchbaggy note...

They could nerf touchers and thumpers at the same time by making expertise apply only to ranger skills. That's why it's a primary attribute.

edit: How is this a buff to IWAY, actually? I don't think they carry pet rez spells with them. The pets are the same until they die, and get DP. Only buff there is that if IWAY'ers sacrifice yet another skill slot to rez the pets, they can move around a little more if the fight gets prolonged. Well, thenagain, I don't know anything about IWAY anways ;p Suppose one peep carrying Revive Animal helps so they just need one slot in the whole team for it. *shrug* Wee~

It doesnt really buff IWAY that much tbh, you can't get minus DP in HA. Even if you die 1000000 times at the zaishens, win and go to underworld, you still have 0Morale and 0DP. I assume the same is with Pets. They will be at 0% Morale all the time, no biggie.

And yeh, playing a thumper in GvG is hell. Most of the time you can't even res your pet for 2 seconds without it dying again.
