Fun idea, not sure about this but is their holidays in this game? I know some holidays can't be put in because of different religions. I hate to do this but in WoW, they use their lore to recreate a holiday (having it at the same time) but with no religious relations. Also, they did many holidays from not just the U.S. Both of these ideas would be cool in the game.

What about homeless day then? The 5th of january is homeless day where every1 dresses up like a homeless and eats and lives like a homeless for a day.

Anet has their own team for events, so implenting an event won't delay fixing bugs, making update npc or any other thing people might not agree with at the moment. Nor will not making any events speed that progress up.

Recently Gaile Gray "said" they are going to upgrade the greens and armor soon. But who knows when that will be. It's already been delayed too long as it is. They should have known people would want to upgrade when there was new armor/sundering, but ANet didn't seem to think ahead here.

Could incorporate that as an introduction to Campaign 3, the Canthans and Krytans celebrate Pirate Day when the Pirates from <insert name of new continent> helped them in their fight against <insert name of new opponent>.
