War Paint
Hi, I'm a bit of a noob, but I've seen necros and monks with facial marks/tattoos, and my ranger character is based loosely on a North American Indian in appearance so I wondered if it is possible to get such things for rangers? He's a ranger/ necro, and has a pet wolf, hence the name "Walks With Wolf." He'd would look real smart with war paint on his face.
I know the game is based more on medieval times but it is fantasy so I'm using my imagination.

The Necro scar patterns are their headgear; in other words, available only to primary Necromancers.

Unfortunately the headgear is based only on your primary class, so your ranger can use Masks only.
Headgears:
Assassin - Ninja Mask
Ritualist - Headwrap
Monks - Tattoos
Ranger - Cloth Masks
Warrior - Helms
Mesmer - "Costume Party" Masks. =D
Elementalist - Third Eye or Orbiting Element
Necromancer - Scar patterns
I like Ranger masks. I remember that when i started playing i wanted one for my Warrior.

I like the way you think of your character as Native American in appearance. I think that is using your imagination and getting the most out of Role Playing. I think that is why some players here wish for more "cosmetic" customization of their characters appearance. It makes their character unique and they stand out of the crowd more. I think it also creates a sort of bond that you have for your character. I kinda feel that way with my ele. The only thing that makes her sort of stand out is that I picked the lightest skin tone for her and a lot of players who see her comment on how she looks like she is glowing!
I think some more customization of characters would be great for players and would make a rather enjoyable gold sink for the game too.

Considering Nightfall is going to be North African based, I wouldn't put it past ArenaNet to add an armour like that.

I don't see why rangers should get some kind of war paint. Necromancers have scars, yeah well scars are paint. I think that would be cool to have war paint as a headgear piece. If Anet doesn't want to do it then maybe a combination of a mask and war pain could be implemented.
I like the idea, maybe with the war pair some sort of headress that comes with it, feathers, talons, or fur hood something to get a more wilderness feel.

Most characters cover their faces with clothing?
1. He only said war paint on their faces
2. I think he meant only rangers not all characters
3. I think he wants it to be a headgear piece not something that is just there

Not just for Rangers, but for every class. It would be an awesome gold sink at 1-3k a pop to design custom warpaint for your characters, and maybe even have a custom dye job for your hair..Sorry if this sounds not-Guild Wars-y but I'm on a creative streak, don't wanna loose my touch.
