Extra power when certain classes are Closer to their elements.
Here is an idea that would not severly imbalance anything in the game and would also make things a little more fun ^_^.
In many fantasy books and such elementists and spellcasters have always gotten more powerful spells and such when they are closer to their elements (for example water elementists might summon a tidal wave when they are close to a sea or something).
What im proposing is that elementists maybe get +1 or +2 to their respective elemental attribute when they are closer to their elements. In dark areas such as Kurzick territory Necromancers could get more shadow or dark damage. In Cold or Dwayna/Balth statue areas monks and Warriors could get some sort of buff (Warriors and Monks are probably the hardest to please). Rangers could get more power when they are in heavily forested or wilderness areas. Im not sure about assasins or Ritualists.
O well its just an idea. Maybe if it is 2 imbalanced something else of the class could be nerfed in order to make this buff. All im saying is it would be cool if for example on the Burning Isle Random arena map my fire spells would be stronger since i am more attuned to that certain element. Maybe my water attributes could go down on a fire map while my fire attributes go down. Just an idea.

I'm going to list a "type" enviorment, and post what classes they'd effect. Although I like the idea, It'd only be good for PvE not for PvP.
Ring Of Fire - Fire Elementalists, Warriors
Shiverpeaks - Necromancers, Water Elementalists
Crystal Desert - Earth Elementalists
Maguuma Stade - Rangers
Echovald Forest - Necromancers, Assassins
But its really hard to determine Mesmers, Air Elementalists, Monks, Assassins, and Rangers though.

Id guess youd get "downgraded", when in opposite enviroment? An eles can just switch back and forth to whatever enviroment is, so theres not really a downside for them.

This doesn't work well with the mechanics that Guild Wars have, though fantasy does hold this true, GW has its own rules.

This mechanic isn't needed in Guild Wars and, from my point of view, not wanted either.
