Ice dome and frozen forest
Has anyone been through these areas? There are masses of enemies here, and it is near impossible to fight this in a short amount of time, or with henchman. It is near impossible to clear icedome with henchman, let alone real players. You get charged by masses of enemies even without agroing them. My idea is to get rid of some of the exess ememies making these places survivable.

Theres such few challenges in pve already and you wanna reduce that area?

heared some rumors about it, went there yesterday, only alesia had 60dp. I died once, no other problems
lure is the clue,attack dolyaks -> mesmer dolyaks -> giants -> hammer warriors -> axe warriors->rangers.
no problems then
keep golems for the end, they're so weak

Don't think Frozen Forest is particularly dificult. Though I was pleasantly surprised when I found how many enemies were clustered in such a small area when I henchied my way to Ice Dome for the exploration title. Took me a little over 45 minutes to clear the area by doing several 'tactical' retreats. Though I'm sure it would be much quicker and easier with at least half a group of real players.
I agree with lyra, there are so few places that pose a real challenge, so why remove them?

Why remove them is because they are a major pain in the butt trying to map to 100% due to the horribly awful henchman AI.
I'd say make henchman actually not suck, instead of nerfing those areas, but the devs haven't been able to do that as of yet so maybe nerfing those areas would be easier for them to do.
They should definitely either fix henchmen, or nerf those areas. Along with a few other nearby areas like Spearhead and some parts of Talus Chute.

The exploring titles arent supposed to be easy..however the areas you mentioned are very easily clearable.

And since PvE is supposed to be a walk in the park...
Your in the 2nd last region of the game, dont expect to be fighting groups of 3 Ice Golems. If its too hard for you,guess what? Don't go there.

I always considered the Southern Shiverpeaks the hardest section of the game.
Even the mursaat's touch of agony cant compare to those evil evil dwarves >.<

Frozen forest is not particularly difficult except in a few spots. I don't mind them being difficult, as you said "nearly" impossible. It is hard but doable.

The henchmen's damage dealing capabilitity does not make up for their pitiful AI.
I say remove these super mobs, ever try going into Icedome via Frozen Forest? Immediately upon spawning, you are besieged by 2 super mobs, you die.. Oh hey! Resurrection shrine was 5 feet away. Die again.. and on and on..
Not all of us are super tanks. Lighten it up for the casters, if you want a challenge, go to Perdition rock.
I did finally map it btw.

This is how I see it:
1 - If the title is too hard for you to get, then you don't deserve it. Any requests to make getting the title easier will just seem like whining.
2 - I can cap in frozen forest reasonably easy with henchs as I did it with my monk, my mesmer and my necro. So that area isn't too hard.
3 - The only reason for going to icedome is for the exploration title, see point 1.

Mmmm...a real challenge? The IDS run is much more challenging that Perdition Rock, and tanks seem to do that very well.
I am categorically against any request to make any part of PvE easier, and this is definitely part of that. By the way, my non-55 necromancer has also soloed most of Ice Dome and Frozen Forest as well...it just takes patience and a ton of kiting/running for your life...

You must be bad with henchies then, because Ive capped elites there with my monk and necro with all henchies. Perditin rock a challenge? Don't make me laugh. It's the last explorable area in Tyria and its uber easy.

If anything y not make some pve areas harder?
Now i like a lot of southern shivies as is because if they were harder ud never get past. For example getting past those stupid birds to go troll farming. I farm on my ele and if i get caught up in the birds im dead.
But, places like pre (i know its off topic lol), maybe northern shivies, jungle, and defientely fire islands(those r easier than southern shivies even though u get there after), should be made harder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not as hard as icedome because I have also yet to clear it, but maybe add some more monsters in open areas.
