Suggestion - Player Jobs
A concept for Nightfalls and beyond.
Want 15k armour but your not good at farming or running? Feel like theres nothing left to do in PvE? Well then, this threads for you.
My idea for NF and other chapters is having player jobs [Mining, smithing, etc]
Now, I'm not asking to make it like WoW/RS, but I think that we should be able to choose a job for our characters. It will give you something to do, it can net you money, and it would be a nice update.

The idea is good, but we're trying to surpass WoW, not catch up to them. Come up with more original ideas and we can work on it from there.

I don't want to "work" while I play a game. I'll also add farming is dull beyond belief.
What Anet needs to do is massively up the rewards in those Challenge missions. For example, if I can make ~2k in 10 minutes farming in many places (though bored out of my mind doing so) why would I go to the Challenge missions, spend 5 to 10 minutes "lfg" or "glf" then enter the mission, spend 10 to 30 minutes in the mission and walk about with ~1k to ~2k and no chance for a good drop?
Nightfall is rumored to have more Challenge missions (why is beyond me since the rewards are null and a waste of time IMO), so those should be made to replace the need for farming and in game work.
PS. I rather enjoy the Challenge Mission in Basin, but again, the rewards are far to low to encourage me to play there when my time is pressed.

Well if u want to surpass WoW u need to catch it first.. I agree that there should be something else to do besides all the things u do in PvE right now. I really dont feel like exploring when it means i wont find anything out there... This elite missions r just too time consuming without rewards many times, becoming boring just like farming...
There r few mobs in grasslands now, few chests, nice landscape but that is all to it.. I dont say that we should begin with mining, herbalism etc.. like in wow i just like to see that we come up with some original ideas ( ideas that u can do something in nature, or with ur soroundings so it wont feel so artificial outhere ) ).. mining and herbalism was good because u feel conected with landscape ur in... it gives u feeling u can use surroundings to some purpose...
So if anyone has some better idea what to do besides / while exploring plz write down your idea.

What if there were some new upgrades to the Guild Hall.
Set up a lumber mill, mine or anything else. Then hire some serfs/peasants to work your resources.
The output is the material you have set up that would go into your Guild Storage. The operation of the Guild Hall would only be when the Leader or an Officer is logged into the game.
This resource gathering would be reasonable enough to gain materials/gold but wouldn't be more than what you could get playing the game normally.

As much as I like the idea, I wouldn't want it ingame. I'm not sure how this works on WoW but it sounds to me like any simple job would attract more bots.
Actually there are some jobs you can get in the game, they're better known as quests, but most can only be done once.

And most give less then 300 gold. I suggested this as a new way for players to make money.

OMG i cracked up when i read this. It's true, they can make baskets w/ their fingers and toes.
yeah I do agree, little minijobs or something to keep your intrest in the game. Like basket weaving, you could forage for the grasses that you weave w/ and make the baskets.

Gladiator arena!
mmm gambling.
Really though, there needs to be new ways to make money, but mining etc should be last resort options. How about bounty hunter quest things where you have to take down/kill/capture a certain person/boss/thing in a certain amount of time for gold?
just thinking outloud. Well, if you can do that online.

Triple the income if you can you can work with your thumbs and toes, UNDERWATER! Extreme Underwater BAsket Weaving FTW!
I too would like another option to get money (preferably one that is hard for bots to take advantage of so it won't get nerfed). I don't have any ideas though, besides things like mining, but that was already said, plus it copies other games...and I definitly don't want to copy something like WoW.
