This seems interesting, and kind of fun, espesially if tickets cost only 500g or something. (money sink yay!)
Until then, I'll just watch Trolls kill themselves by attacking my warrior.

im not gonna lie so ill say this frankly... i'd rather watch grass grow than PvE PvP in alliance battles... if it was a 5v5v5 it would make for some new interesting 5man builds but o well... they had to take the 4man RA/TA idea..

Good lord! I had no idea they had something like that in Lineage! I have never played that game, only seen screenshots (which completely uninterested me with it's anime-ish style). I'm not sure whether to feel privelaged that my idea's been used, or depressed because it's been used in that game.
Since you seem to know that it (the system) sucks, mind telling me why it sucks? Is it abused? Is it the way it's incorporated? Is it just the randomness of who gets rich quick? Seriously, I'd like to know. Cause in my eyes, something like a lottery system could be a fun addition. Besides, GW had the festival games, which essentially is the same thing, just a little more active and with MUCH less payout.

Investing in what ?
It can't be anything any of the trader NPCs, because they already provide you with the option to invenst in them and people do when they can predict an upwards shift in the prices (next predictable one will be nightfall release).
I'm going to need more specifics about how it will work before I decide if its a good idea or not.

Solution without implementing a stock market: Go broke on Rubies and Sapphires and sell them if and when they rocket in price.
Or you can buy ectos low, and sell them high. The prices fluxuate pretty frequently between 6/6.5 - 7/7.5.

it is a good idea but the prices aren't dynamic enough for active traders... it usually hangs around and it eventually comes down to selling it to someone for a higher price than you bought it for. If the prices were less static it would be the better alternative.
