New Profession Concept: Stop posting preliminary concepts
I am getting overly irate with the number of 'garbage threads' concerning new concept classes like 'Samurai', 'Fiddler', and 'Potato Chip Factory Worker'. For the love of God, think up something original/useful, NOT i.) a con off a currently existing character class ii.) an elaborate specialist character class iii.) something that belongs in some 8-bit game based around farming (this means no Runescape professions, too!).
Before you post your concept class, take the time to consider a few things:
1. Is it original?
2. Is it practical?
3. Does it fit in with other professions?
A berserker who has a primary attribute designed to increase damage but reduce attack speed, and three other attributes all going towards different weapons ranging from 'Double-bladed axe' to 'Double-bladed sword' is pretty much a glorified warrior.
A gardener who grows plants that die after 30-60 seconds and provide different benefits (among them being able to be destroyed for damage to nearby foes, etc) is a Ritualist in a different outfit.
A fisherman does not help anyone in any way whatsoever, nor does a miner, a banker, a model, or a pianist.
Seriously, it's gotten to the point I dismiss half the threads in here by their title (which is not an efficient way of determining the contents of the thread in most occasions) because it's something outrageous like 'Concept Class: Steam Engine Stoker! '
I know a lot of you consider your 'Samurai' concept class original, but what you propose can be accomplished by giving the warrior a new set of armour and some new skills. No new attributes required. No new game mechanics required.
Easier reading too!
So, once again, I beg of you all to put more thought into your concepts rather than simply post the preliminary ideas and suggest it as a new profession. The redundancy is getting to be overwhelming.

Feel free to not click on any posts in this forum. If you are getting irate over clicking forum posts and reading them, try going outside. Breathe in that sweet Canadian air, and remember that the forum post can't hurt you.
Seriously, who the hell are you to tell people what to post? Theres 302932 mods and 21309420492309432 FAQs and sticky posts already filling that role.
