I don't understand why they can't just make pets naturally infused. I mean all the henchmen in the Southern Shiverpeaks are infused, even before you can be. (I have tested this in the first mission where there are patrolling mursaat you usually have to dodge). If henchmen have natural infusion, why can't your pet?

That sucks man. I know that it may be a bit of a pain, and from an RP point and PvE point it may be pain, but you may want to consider changing out your skill points for those missions you want to complete, or wait til A-Net does something about it. A-Net makes it pretty easy to change out your build.
I do hope that pets will get infused so that you don't have to deal with it.
Edit in : you may want to try and drop a line to the devs about this. This is a game-breaker for people who specifically want to stay with Beast Master.

I would also request that certain ranger quests involving pets to be changed to that they doesn't require you to trade in pets you love. I had to do it to get hunter's shot loved my presearing Wolf!

I just posted a thread about getting all the ranger skills and I purposely missed this one because I didn't want to trade in my bear I now happen to have every beastmastery spell in the game and its kinda depressing knowing that its all useless.

Umm, of course they send that. They get flooded with millions of inane suggestions constantly, so they direct them to forums. They do come to read the forums though; we know this as we see Gaile and Alex around regularly, and sometimes they implement things that seem like they are drawn straight out of the forums.

I fail to see how hard it would be..
A piece of Armor like that of a Collar would be perfect.I Wouldnt even care if it wasn't even visible on my pet.

The Collar is a perfect ifea...
Unfortunatly, this reminds me of Final Fantasy XI Online. Those of you who've played it know what I'm talking about. There were 2 job classes, Summoner and Dragoon, that were by no means "gimp", but missing certain key things that other jobs had.
The devs were spammed with suggestions to improve the jobs for years, but alas, there still has been no major change to the job classes. Summoner only has one line of spells that are useful, and they don't get those spells till level 70 (lvl75 is the level cap).
I feel Beastmastery has so much petential, but has been largely neglected by the devs.

things like call of haste and feral lunge? if a lunge works there is a graphic for it, like feral makes a green swirl around your pet, and bestial pounce makes a blue sparkly swirl. if you watch your pet you can tell.
|
Well call of haste i believe is an enchantment or something, i certainly have not been able to determine whether my pet got it on and when it expires [so i can recast]. All i have is knowing it lasts for 30 seconds....
Feral Lunge i generally see the "bleeding" effect on my target. Being a Monk/Ranger i do not actually watch my pet as i'm (a) very far away (b) busy healing and watching red bars. So i dont really mind about "instant" effects, it's those enchantment ones. [I dont even think it shows a yellow arrow on the HP bar of my pet...so how do you actually know when it runs out??]

How hard would it really be to "storyline-ize" armor on pets? Honestly, not like it hasn't been done before. Look at actual history, there is armor made for everything: horses, elephants, bears, you name it its probably been there. Now actually scripting a piece of armor and making models and artwork that show when you put a new piece on your pet may be time consuming, but thats where the colar idea comes in. And your not alone, i've made it to the ring of fire with a pet too, however i can't rely on him anymore so i have to bring a few marksman skills to replace beastmaster, which leaves other skills cut short.
