Guild Recruiter
Hello, i don't know whether is been suggested or not but i have a suggestion for "guild recruter". Well two things going on in major cities people are selling non-stop which really annoying and i can't get rid of except for unchecking local and trade channels. Second thing is recruiters i know there is positive and negative outcomes to it but people are spamming recruiting messages too, and there should be an easier way for this without spamming in local and trade channels. So the way i'm thinking is to add "npc recruiter" in major cities where players who are looking for a guild would come to. Here is how it works, a officer or guild owner would enter thier guild name, add gold for how many players they are trying to recruite and small fee to use the service, requirements if any and penalty (i've seen players joing the guild and leave in matter of hours i think this is wrong and unfair). When players who wishes to joing a guild, they would see a list of all guilds that are recruiting, when they choose certain guild they would see guild info, stats(fame, rank and so on), guild hall, cape, who to contact to ask any question about the guild. When player send request to joing the guild a message will shows up on recruiters screen, after examining the request to joing, recruiter can deny or accept the request.

That's a pretty good idea except it would be difficult to rank a guild that's PvE oriented. I mean... what descriptors for PvE are there? None. (Not including individual titles, obviously)
If it were a PvP guild recruiter then /possibly signed.
If it weren't, /notsigned.
On second thought, my agreeance came from the desperation of wanting new members. This really wouldn't work. (Brother Gilburt said it all.)

It wouldn't work. First the list would be huge! There are hundreds and hundreds of guilds out there. Also the smaller new guilds would get less people in them because people would scroll down the list until they found a guild with alot of players in them.
Also they'd be joining a guild knowing nothing about it(if members are nice, what the leaders like, etc.)
/notsigned
This isn't how it should happen.

If you limit it to small guilds than whats the point of it at all anyway...
When I joined my guild i talked with the leader and got to know him... This is not how gilds should recruit. You could just enter in your guilds name and sit back and do nothing...
But anyways, whats the likelyness of your guild being chosen??? There would be alot guilds on that list even if it was only small guilds.
Also you'd no have control on who you spend 100g on for an "invite"
Recruiting is not much of a problem anyway. Theres not so many guilds trying to recruit at once that this needs to be added.
Also this would kinda defeat the purpose of the game if guild recruiting was made like this.

guild recruiter isn't for every single guild out there, its for those who wants to recruite. besides i've never seen anyone in real life shout to join their "organization" they have flyers on bulletin boards and this is pretty much it

the person who is recruiting is responsible for it, perhaps i wasn't to clear in detail, but basically recruiter deposits certain amount and when some one joins that 100g decreases from amount u've deposited, just like it when u send an invite and person accepts the invitation.

and what purpose is that is to spam the local and trade channels untill u get a winner.
u know those are good point and i agree on some, but i would rather see the list of the guilds that are recruiting than read them about in the chat

I didn't say that it should. Sir_Ace_Manslayer did.

Guild Wars isn't real life.
The whole theme of GW is guilds. If you make recruiting mechanical then that ruins it in ways. Maybe Anet should make other ways to recruit but i just don't think this is it.

there are waaay too many guilds for one NPC alone to take the mantle. Players will either ignore the NPC, or everyone will join one particular guild.

i know there topics about and everyone knows this, but i sick and tired of people spamming "sell, sell, sell, sell, join us, join us and so on" u might yourself notice this too to it ruins the pursope of cities, outposts. Everywhere i go it feels like a flee market. when is the last time someone had some fun or a conversation in LA or ascalon city, well not to my knowledge. i know u could add some to your group chat all u want and uncheck local and trade channels but then what is the pursope of those channels anyway.
My idea may not be the best one but i would like to see some kind of changes on guildwars community
as for Terra Xin comment perhaps u should re-read what i've said, but i'll tell u anyway. recruiter deposits for ex 1k, and that is equal to 10 people, and thats how many would able to join certain guild. and also NPC is for guilds which are recruiting not all of them out there.

There are hundreds and hundreds of guilds recruiting...
People asking other people to join there guilds over chat is not a problem. I look at the chat(in LA/droks dis 1 or 2) and I see about 10% recruit messages and 90% WTS/WTB messages.
Fix the 90% of WTB/WTS and the remaining 10 will not get in the way of conversations.

absolutely true, i think it would easier this way to get some facts about guild people might join but it just my opinion. as for fixing wts/wtb messages there are topics about it and i don't see any progress made toward to actually doing something about it. anet is releasing new title soon and i think this is all they care about.
