Default Type II PvP

Okay I'm gonna say that I totally stole this idea from Magic the Gathering. But if any of you ever played that game competitively then you should know what it is.

Type I is where you can use any card ever made in your deck (with the exception of the Unglued series because they are joke cards)

Type II is where you only get to use core sets, and the current cycle and the previous cycle.

To tie this into GW. There should be, IMO, an arena setting where you are pick a Campaign and only use skills from that campaign and the core skills for competetion.

The reason for this is so that people who only buy one chapter aren't at a disadvantage of skills or classes. For example, if someone from Nightfall only doesn't want to fight against Ritualists or Assassins he wouldn't have to if he played in a "Type II" Nightfall PvP Arena.

I hope I made that all clear, so discuss

How would you execute this? You would need a new arena for each new chapter. Those little islands might get crowded.

I think a better thing would be to have a Core PvP arena. Only Core professions, with only Core skills. It might be interesting to see what kind of builds might emerge out of those limitations.

Well it could work just like the EU districts. You go the one new island, but you have districts to choose from that are only one chapter.

How are they going to use IWAY? Did they make it core when I wasn't looking?

That is from Guild Wiki. IWAY is Prophecies, that means if this did ever get made there would be freedom from IWAY.
The main point of this is not to get rid of the annoying PvP builds, but to make people more creative with different builds limited by a set number of skills.

well it will certainly take us away from the prophecies builds that we are still using, I think a forced change would be nice.
