A New Way to Get Money!!
What if instead of just farming and running and stuff you could have a job like special duties exeptional to your profession and npcs could need help with a job and u do it to get payed! So it is easier to get money but some jobs could be hard like... uuuum, srry i cant think of one, but you get what im sayin.

This has been suggested before, mostly ending with the thread fading quickly or it becoming a GW vs WoW/we don't want GW to become WoW thread.
I still think any easily repetable task would be an invitation to bot farming though, leave the bot on overnight and earn 40k with virtually no risk (that's 5k an hour, which would be half-decent farming). I would welcome any fun way of earning cash, but most fun things get boring, that's the problem. Something's fun so you do it more often, since you do it more often it gets boring fast.
As for jobs like policeman or messenger, those exist already.. Hot springs murders, Message for my wife, Warning the tengu etc. They aren't repetable, but essentially they give you a job to do.
Luxon/Kurzick supply lines are repeatable, they allow you to work as a courier for the army (I know that's not what you mean with a job, but I'd say it qualifies as one).

There is an perceivable problem with this; bots. With the addition of "jobs" they would have a way to make money even faster.
The way the "jobs" would probably work would be something like how the repeatable faction quests work. Go outside an outpost, talk to a NPC, do a task, get a reward.
Now all a bot program would do is talk to the NPC, do the task, and get the reward. If the reward is even just 1 platnum, it would probably make for a very good profit.
The best way to counter this however, is to make the task that require more than one person, who each get the same reward. The tasks should include Necromancers and Mesmers that LOVE enchantment removers (55hp is useless). As well, if the spawns were made to vary a lot, then a bot program would never be able to compensate.

Am I the only one that finds this COMEAPLTLY assinine?
You are playing a game.
And In that game, you are working. Because you have a job. in the game.
How about get off from infront the computer and Get an actual job.
Or stop whinning because you are poor and can't seem to make enough money fast enough.

Sounds like a fun idea.. but wouldn't wanna get paid for it cuz others would do the same, so nevermind. Farming Trolls is much funner.

Sounds to me like quests where the reward is money. I'm pretty sure we have those already.

Quests like slay 370 monsters and get their quest drops??
Sounds too much lineage to me.
For those who dont know, lineage is a game where theres alot of quests involving slaying droves of monsters for endless hours just for this or that drop.
Dont think im criticizing it, in fact i think its a great game ^_^Lineage 2.
But i dont want guild wars to be like that, after all i like to alternate between those 2 games.

Well if you want a steady flow of income like in the Sims, maybe that can be worked out. Maybe in a new expansion you can join some elite section of an alliance. And just the position itself can get you some amount of gold per day, which you pick up from an NPC. It can be a special position or title, like winning a new version of the Hall of Heros or passing an Elite mission. Or owning an outpost.

If your providing a service like running or power levelling you have "in not so many words" a job. We dont need more things to grind at. Get in their and offer something people want, get them to pay you = coinage.
