Concept class: Sniper
Every sequel seems to have to extra classes, so I figure making another wouldn't hurt. Both this and the other class I created came to me when I was stocking cans at my grocery store; I spent most of the day thinking about these classes with a smile on my face. Oh, and the world which they live in to, but that will come later... next post perhaps.
Sniper:
A sniper would wear jerkins, robes or tight fitting outfits with camo colors or even fatigues (pieces of plants for came) on elaborate 15K outfits. On its head it would wear a cool Para military beret that sits on its head a little off sinter like a military beret. Their weapon would be a cross bow. The cross bow would be slower then a bow (gasp) but much, much more powerful. They will use stealth and well aimed critical shots to cause air ele ranked damage on one target while slinking through the battle field unnoticed. They will be incredibly fun for AB, solo capping by running around sniping the base guards from a safe distance while doing enough damage to actually kill the base guards to knock them out in an intimidating amount of shots, unlike the conventional ranger. They will also have stances to change their firing position like prone or crouching to steady the weapons for added damage, range or defense and increased firing time.
Attributes: Guided arrow (primary), Rifling (stances), Cross bow mastery, and Camo.
Camo: This skill will allow you to blend in to your surroundings and either avoids visual detection or both visual and targeting detection making you immune to almost all attacks (save traps and pets who will be able to target you still). Almost all Camo skills would end when player attacks or takes damage, hex or is healed by ally. In PVE camo would make an invincible runner... untill it wore off leaving the sniper as an ele like archer running through enemy lines, the recharge will be long as well as the casting (applying camo make up isn't quick) so it would even out his running ability, though I see this char as being a very good runner if done correctly with some rifling stances.
Guided Arrow: This attribute will make your attacks while in a camo enchant do more damage as well as increase critcal attack rate. Ideally, with high Guided Arrow skills you could snipe a player and in one hit deal 200 or so damage to a light armored caster while using a Guided Arrow skill in a camo enchantment. This will make for some fun strategies of sneaking off from your group to pick off the ele or monk and do enough damage to spread havoc just before your men charge in.
Cross bow mastery: Basic bow like skills that rely on damage much more then conditions.
Rifling: How you hold your cross bow. It will be stances that include crouching to make spells fail when casted on you in exchange for slower movement, prone so you stop moving entirely to lay face down with bow steadied for maximum damage and defense, though line of site will be different and you will take time to get up from prone stance. My friend thought of a cool elite where you could set up a tripod like deal and stay stationary so you could do even more damage. You need time to set up this stance (you would kneel down as if setting a trap) and if you became over run, you would need to break it down which would also take time making it a risky choice for you to gain armor and attack to stay stationary. Even though it may be over dramatic, it would add some fun visuals of snipers on tripods on guild walls during GvG battles. If done practically the tri pods would be small not turning the sniper into a large distracting turret or something.
Well, there's my second class idea, tell me what you thought of it please.

Eh, I don't think backthen (assuming that this isn't modern) they never really thought about camo if you look to the Red-Coats during the Revolution. Also Rifling, is no where close to stance but infact grooves in a barrel of a gun or one of those old cannons that spiral giving the bullet a spin to the right or left increasing the distance the bullet travels.
Cross bow, eh who needs one? lol. Also you can't really hide from the all powerful radar with some camo.
Then, I would like to comment on that doing 200 dmg thing. OUTRAGEIOUS! lol. I wish I could do 200 dmg on the first hit. That'd be godlike.
Afterall this is a suggestion and like most, it'll never get up on the game. But I see you put thought into this.

there is a problem with the cammo attribute. it doesn't work in pvp. you can't disappear on the minimap. people will maphack the minimap if you would be 'invisible' to still see you. this is something i've heard to be the reason why the minimap is the way it is I believe..

Man, theirs a sniper class in Final Fantasy tactics advanced, I wonder why everyone is picturing a modern day sniper with a rifle here. I was picturing the invisibilty to be like an advanced version of spell breaker but from attacks completely in short bursts as means of escape or hunting a certain class in the party. I wish someone would comment on my Cavalier class though, it is much more balanced and realistic I see now in hind site. To be honest, I created this class pretty quickly, the same day I posted it so it could use some work I agree.

I hate cowards who cant do jack on close combat ~
Played Halo2, CS, BF, HalfLife, etc, etc............. Combat is at times slowed down by them... very very cheap style of combat.

Not to burst your bubble here but snipers are probably one of the more effective roles in combat arms. They pretty much work the same way in an FPS too. They hide, they sneak, and they don't come in close contact. Comments like "coward" and "camper" come from those who are preyed upon due to the lack of common sense, experience, and understanding of how to counter such a role.
