Default make ur own weapon!!

If any of you have downloaded the program at GW freaks, than you know what I'm talking about, I had this revolutionary Idea that maybe we could have some npc in all towns that's name was something like [Weapon Maker] or something like that because then for like say 50k you could choose what type of weapon this was (staff, bow, etc) and then customize the extras like energy regen and the damage range and stuff like that.

Hmm, interesting idea. I'm not sure what this would do to the economy in the game. In some ways I want to sign because it took me a long time to find a bow that I was satisfied with for my ranger.

Can't this already kind of be done to some extent with collector's weapons and mods? It could make trade really confusing though. I'm not a total weapons guru though. I'm interested to see what other people think.

This would definitely hurt the prices of Dye and Upgrades. Not to mention weapons people find, augment, and sell themselves. Also, it would take the fun out of finding cool weapons if you can just buy one. I once found a staff that increased my energy +2 at 25%, 50%, and 75% max health and added a Staff Wrap of Fortitude. Do you really want someone to be able to make something like that? The appearence of a weapon usually notes what sort of damage it does so if you could even choose what your weapon does you probably wouldn't be able to change how it looked.

This would destroy tings like green Items. And so the economy would fall. No Green could be sold for more than 50K because you could just get the equililent from a maker. People wouldn't bother farming items anymore, because they're just buy the one from the weapon maker.

Your customized weapons can be made with collectors. No need for this.

instead of paying some guy to make a special sword for you mabye you would find "special" pieces that mosters drop that are used to make a weapon?

bad idea for PvE but great for PvP (It's just the pvp char creation screen that needs improvements...)
