I don't exactly farm for skill points. I've managed to get more than enough of them to purchase all primary skills, including the caps, just by doing primary quests & missions. And I'm just wasting them to get skill cap title from all the xp of my main gold farmers. I'll admit that you go through them much faster in Cantha, but helping out on a mish usually does the trick.

*lol* Since all my skills cost a platinum now the only reason I would farm would be to get $$ to pay for a skill. Skill points are important for those trying to get the skill titles. Everyone would have a skill title if you didn't need any points to purchase them.

bad idea, there's over 100 skills and there's sig of capture, plus, there's not enough quests that give skill points, no one really farms skill points, they quest, which is basically what you're supposed to do.

yea.. the skill point accumulation ahead of a chapter release is a must, so you can unlock as many skills as you want when the game comes out.... I think on my monk I have 89 left for Nightfall now, and on my ranger I have 30 waiting for nightfall... I suppose it would be ok to cap it at 100 or something, but if you are like me and plan on using your original characters for as long as possible well this would make that moot. I like being a rather old man in GW... Ingram of haz as he is right now is about the same as he was during the early beta stages. Same with Sire Ingram my monk. he is about the same as he was from original launch.... They are my hero class characters at this point... SO I woul dhate it if I had to retire them because I could not unlock anything anymore.

So i think u shouldnt need skill point to puechase skill after (virtual) level 100.
Is this good or bad idea?

I think most of yas missed his point (not that i agree) he's saying that after your 100th skill point that they stop requireing you to need skill points and you just have to pay for them at that point. I personally dont care either way, but it looked like he was getting some heat from you's cause some people thought he meant you couldnt get any skills after that. (which is FAR from what he meant)

No, I got the point of the lvl100 cap, I just don't think it is necessary. All my chars have at least 30pts left on them (like I mentioned, after having all primary, and some useful secondary skills). How will I add more for Nightfall once it comes out? Same as I did with Factions, doing the primary quests and missions as I go through the game, nothing out of the ordinary. Then if I fall short for some reason, I'll go back and do some of the secondary quests with high xp rewards.

tnx for replies
it seems most people here have problems with this idea because of title, but im not that on big on the title(got only prophecies, so cant max it anyway), but i understand( titles should mean something)
so how about if after 100level u would only need skill points only for capture signet, but wouldnt need a skill point for other (non-elite) skills.
the reason i started this thread because im always running low on skill points, and would to play with different builds but unfortunately spent my skill points on all of my primary class and first second, so basically i dont have muh of a choise to play pure ranger or R/N with my primary character
Edit:
as for quest that give u skills that is option too, but it for it should have been possible to retake the quest when u change second class (i know that are alredy quests like that u need curtain class to acitve but there is not enough of them(at least in prophecies))

Are you aware that "virtual level 100" is 3,108,600 exp? I have played for well over 800 hours on my necromancer, and I still only have around 2 million.
Also, he's not saying that after your 100th skill point, all skills should just cost money. He's saying after "virtual level 100" skills should just cost money.
Please people, learn how to read.

The "level" 100 is 1,340,600 exp, not over 3 million.
