Okay but seriously, the Favor system does need tweaked. It can't just be done away with entirely, but something should be done to make it more "fair".

when i first started Korea and America always held halls and europe rarely ever did now just cause europe has got better we should not change!

Having PVP play affect what PVE players are allowed to do is such a mind boggling bad game mechanic. However, there have been threads to change the favor system for quite a while but Anet has shown that they won't listen on this issue since they will never take anything away from their precious PVP audience in order to correct an imbalance in PVE. Someone at Anet has a serious eliteist problem as they seem bound and determined to keep the bulk of their PVE audience out of the more challenging PVE areas. This continued in Factions with the elite missions that they said months ago was going to be changed so there was alternate ways to get there. I'm not holding my breath as that was just lip service to shut people up as I don't believe they have any intention of ever implementing any changes to accessing the elite missions.

Same with the favor system. Its not going to get changed because they just don't care.

Telling people they can't get thier Driver's License if they don't win the Indy500 first. The skill required is way overkill in relation to the desired result. If you REALLY want PvEers to win favor for themselves, then the favor, realistically would work something like alliance battles. It's a more reasonable task for a system that only controls a PvE function.

Umm this may be a stupid question, but if you're holding halls so that your country has favor, how are you supposed to go to UW yourself?
I don't pvp, but it seems kinda pointless to try and go get fame, when the result would likely be(if you did get halls for your country) that you wouldn't get much UW/FOW playing time for your effort.

Favor system is just a punishment to all those that prefer PvE over PvP.

It wouldn't affect the game at all if it were scrapped entirely!
