Plot/Mission Ideas
Just got thinking about some ideas for Chapter 2.
I always find henchmen too robotic, it would be cool if they started saying things in mid battle and also if during cutscenes they started chipping in wiith a few comments. I would like to get to know them instead of having them as brainless annoyances that I carry around with me.
It would also be cool to learn about them through missions. Say we go to the 'new world' in Tyria by ourself leaving the previous henches behind and throughout 1 mission you meet say the new assassin who is on her mission. You decide to tag along and assist her with her mission learning a bit about her and forming a 'relationship' then afterwards she will be available as a henchman selection and so on with other henches making them seem more human.
Also if you got to know your henches it would be cool in an emotional scence if some of them got killed or something. You would actually care more for them.
An idea for the plot which can be expanded would to have some really evil mean guy who lets say, starts a personal grudge match with you and your party, setting you up and toying with you. Maybe he could capture you and pit you against your own team mates forcing you to turn on each other (balance issues) and the survivor may get set free. however being eveil he will just throw the winner to the 'lions as such.' This could be a 'glint' event where the others come back.
Also all characters should have a chance to speak in the cutscenes. Say the final mission to make it more your adventure and the very end each person sees a different cutscene of their companions dieing. This puts your hatred for the bad dude on a personal level instead of some random dead guy you feel inclined to slay. But to add to this guys power and still toying with your mind he will be so strong that you die. But to torture you he keeps bringing you back to life to play with you. But say after you have half his health down he will get bored and not res you again. However make him possible to kill. So this way it will be your story and you can say I completed the game not just tagged along with a few good humans.
Imagine a mission where this big evil dude splits the whole team up. Imagine the different playinbg styles that would develop from this. Instead of just slaughtering random guys in a team. Your team would have to work (talk)together even though they have been separated and each person would have to face their own individual challange and meet up at a certain location to continue the mission. How about having 2 random characters trapped in a room with a constant waves of enemies against them. The rest of the team must find and rescue these prisoners before its too late
Tell me what you think guys and add some ideas...

And I know guild wars is a multiplayer game but come on, some singleplayer would be nice! For instance what you said about each player having to fight the boss on there own. I know it would be impossible to balance but if there was a different thing for each profession, then yea that sort of narrows the balance down a bit.

I really like this idea, especially some people getting trapped and you need to rescue them.
Also learning about the henchies would be cool I think, gives a little extra to PvE.

an added idea to this:
all shouts should have a soundwav applied to them
some super spells should have a scream to them as well
perhaps some battle grunts and groans when weapons and dmg is applied
hiyah's for the girlish monks and necros when they do something important like use their bane signet
the guildwars humans are too quiet and boring...
a funny tauntsound would wake people up
"CHARGE!"
"I WILL AVENGE YOU!"
"YOU WILL DIE!"
these will also tell everyone what's going on too

I have spent quite a bit of time (dialup) trying to browse through these threads looking at suggestions. I hope this is the place for this suggestion.
Henches - I prefer live people to henches, but at times it is nearly impossible to get live help. I am doing a lot of 'mapping' , opening up the map. Most of the time, I wind up with henches. How about adding a way to have the henches help pick up gold drops. They share the gold, they might as well help pick it up. Perhaps a 'loot' button that activates when henches are in the group. The group leader can click the icon to send the henches picking up gold (only gold).
Where do I 'question' the actions of henches? (1st 4 missions in post) For instance, Alesia (healer) was running up front and 'tanking' during battles. She appears now to have stopped that, but now Rayena (Ranger) is going nose to nose in battles. She runs with the tank and fights right next to him. Prince Rurick has all but stopped fighting in the Ruins of Surmia. He spends more time standing and watching, most of the way through.
This is a start of what I have seen in Thousands of hours played. There will be more later.

Well what do ya know, and idea that did indeed get implimented, although many people find their random comments a bit annoying. lol
And this part:
