A Vamp is more of a race (or curse) than a proffession...
And since it is still unclear how GW will handle race (or day/night) yet, its a bit questionable.
BUT... you could try to come up with more Vamp like skills for Necro's Blood Magic attribute to sataisfy your "blood lust".
(and I like your avatar... Lyra's seem so mean.... but Haruko FTW)

To rancour below...(Harehara Haruko is refering to Lyra's avatar.... thats the name of that character in FLCL)

Haruko? That looks more like a person...
Anyway, Gaile said at some point that she was positive toward the idea of races, so perhaps we can get something along those lines, while it will probably have a fancier name and stuff so it doesn't seem like your average RPG race..

Yeah Sorry but as I said to the guy with the Werewolf Idea,
its too unoriginal,
There is few rps out there that don't have vampires or werewolfs
(Oblivion and Adventurequest come to mind.)
maybe something more original like LightningHell's Ethermage
decent suggestion anyways.
P.S: Diablos right max blood necros are pretty much vamps, same with touchers

I don't think casting Magic Spells counts as an actual vampire, no more than casting wolf spells makes you a were wolf, or casting fire spells makes you balthazar. Using Death magic doesn't make you Undead as well. Vampires arn't known for casting vampiric magic out of their blood attribute.... they are known to poses many other powers due to their vampirism, telekenisis, transformation, Hightend physical strength, sometimes flight and gravity manipulation, and my favorite, Seduction. Vampires feed physically, perhaps with the aid of magic, but they don't need spells to drink blood it revolves around a transformation into a blood sucking creature, not magic.
A necro uses spells dealing with death and mortality (blood), a vampire is an altered Human or perhaps even altered demihuman. Wallow Bite doesn't make Necromancer a Wallow does it?
As far as a Vampire as a race and not a class, a vampire is an alteration of an exsisting race, in our case humans. Like any of the exsisting classes, A vampire wouldn't be able to change his vampirism from his primary proffesion, and other classes can practice a secondary in vampirism wile not actually being vampires as a primary proffession. It may be bound to their identity more than being a necromancer or Warrior is, but for all the intents and purposes of a proffession, it works all the same.
And as vampiric folklore varies greatly from culture to culture, and game to game, a vampire in GW could very well be an elaborate profession rather than an outside species, an alteration, but still inherently human.
I came up with ideas for a Vampire type class, and even an entire storyline based around the Origin of a Forbidden God who deploys a "Stalker" profession which can wield unnatural magics, like freezing flames, and use their blood as a melee weapon, and capture enemies wile they feed on them making them immobile. Read all about it here.

On a final note, Warrior, Monk, Elementist, Necromancer, Assassin, and Ranger are all halmark identities, originality isn't in what the class is, but how it functions. A Vampire is a very different identity from a Necromancer, and his abilities can be likewise. And combinations like R/N don't cover real vampire persona any better than R/W provides all the abilities Assassin wields. It is all in how the class is developed, identities are best chosen for popularity, not originality. Finding a new way to use a popular class type is what games are about, Warrior has been done 1000 times, yet GW has its own version of Warrior ported over for this game. It is important to consider the popular identities, because these are the ones which will draw new players to the game, people who arn't playing the game now arn't playing it because there isn't enough insentive and interest in what is already available to draw them to it, hitting the popular Archtypes is a fundimental sales tool.
