Found this while digging around for some old pics:
Came up with this a LONG time ago, right after I ascended
Dragoon
Armor-100 v. physical, fire 50 v. other elements
Energy: 15, 2 pip regen. Most skills run on “fury”, which is gained be being hit
(not degen, being hit by a weapon)
Attributes
Dragon’s Rage (Primary Only) for each level in Dragon’s Rage you gain +0.25 damage to all attacks
Dragon’s Wrath: No inherent effect. Many skills, especially those dealing with Fire Breathing, become more powerful at higher levels of Dragon’s Wrath.
Dragon’s Mercy: No inherent effect. Many skills, especially those dealing with using dragon magic to support allies become more powerful at higher levels of Dragon’s Mercy
Dragon’s Technique: Increases damage dealt by spears and spear-based attacks.
Sample Skills
Strike from the Heavens:
5 fury
Jump to target enemy’s location and strike for +15-40 damage
(Dragon’s Technique)
=ELITE=
Dragon Strike
10 fury
Target enemy and all surrounding enemies take 44-120 fire damage and are set on fire for 5-15 seconds.
(Dragon’s Wrath)
Dragon Blood
10 energy
Target other ally has +(1-7) health regen and gains (1-5) adrenaline whenever they attack.
(Dragon‘s Mercy)
=ELITE=
Sorrow’s Strike
25 fury
Spear Attack. If you hit, you deal +(30-59) damage and target enemy is crippled, blinded, suffers from a deep wound for (10-20) seconds
(Dragon’s Rage)
=ELITE=
These may seem powerful, but remember, you have to be hit 25 times before you can use Sorrow’s Strike. This means that it takes some careful aggro management to truly be useful.

So is this a new profession suggestion? Kinda confusing, uses magic and spears.... This would certainly break the paradigm of new professions as I don't think they intend to repeat weapons like swords/spears for new classes and casters just get stuck with wands and staves. Certainly interesting.
Considering it uses magic and spears and it wouldn't be on the front lines; it seems too overpowered with 100 defense against physical.

Then "Dragoon" would dominate over all other professions, it wouyldn't balance out, everyone would become a Dragoon and Guild Wars would be full of Dragoons :P.

Is this "Dragon" or "Dragoon"?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragoon
Give them Sabers and weaker "Fire" skills (the examples here are overpowered).
Should have lighter armor, too (75)? (100 vs physical is too tough, and 50 vs other damage is too weak)
Otherwise, just call them Dragons, and make them bosses, not a Playable Profession.
Or did you just post this to show how "close" you were to Paragons?!?

1 wrong forum
2 easy to just simply not attack this guy and he's worthless in PVP. Seriously, if you need to kill him put spell casters on him so he can't gain 'fury.' Seems kind of worthless to me, like a constant essence bond/balthazar's spirit or something. :/

i like his concept thoe i would change spear to lance like thing but the 100 amour is a good i dea if you made this char based as a tank you should stack it with strong defences and some skill similar to the ele's AoE's
