Quickchange Characters and quickchange accounts
Quickchange Characters:
Wouldn't it be nice to not have to log out and log back in to merely change a character? I would like to see an option to change characters that would automatically terminate the character we are playing and take us directly to the character selection screen.
Quickchange Accounts:
I have 2 accounts of my own, manage a Guild account and am soon to purchase another account. I would like to see a small window like the one I enter my email address and password, for each account I have access to. I then merely select the account I want to log onto (with email address displayed) and type in the password for that account without having to retype a different email address each time. Perhaps a "Select Account" button at the logon screen that then displays the different accounts.

Right click your guildwars shortcut.
Select properties.
Locate the address bar.
Scroll to the end, it should look like "...../GW.exe"
Change it to "....../GW.exe Password=*Insert password here, without astericks*.
Click ok.
I think the account switch falls along the same line ("...../GW.exe Account=*email address* Password=*Password*)

The idea of quick character selecting has been brought up many many times, and has been specifically addressed by ANet. Basically it is a security issue. Many people play on public computers (especially popular in many asian countries). If you forget to log off, someone would be able to destroy your entire account, including deleting all your characters. By forcing the logout, the worst that can happen is the emptying of one character's invintory and your storage. They did give us the password switch for use on our home PCs to allow what you are suggesting.
The email switch does not work, so you wont be able to do the accound switching.

Umm..the password for both my accounts is the same..just the email address is different. The password and the address of the Guild account is different but I have to be in game to access that one. What I think you are suggesting is still having to log out completely and click on a different shortcut to access each account. It is probably just as fast to type in the changes.

This is impossible.
Since the shortcut refers to an address in the root directory of your game, altering the second one would change the first one too.
I've tried it
