Henchmen Interaction
I'm sorry if this has been spoken about already. I have not seen it.
One of the things that I do not like about Henchmen is that they might as well have been made of stone. In games like Baldur's Gate, the other players had huge amount of interaction with you. These henchmen don't say a word. They don't even tell you how they got there. It would be nice for people like Orion, Little Thom, Devona, Cynn, Aidan and Mhenlo, whom all meet you in the main game, to give a little speech about why they are your henchmen now. What would be even nicer would be to have interaction between henchmen.
What do people think of my idea?

Bah, they're mercenaries to get their cut of the pie. They just need to do their job, not make sorry dialogue with each other.

I disagree. I think it would be more fun to walk around with Henchmen that act like people and have some form of a personality, rather than walking around with some stupid henchmen who acts like a rock.

You want them to whine and complain and run off on their own little quests, just like true personalities out there?

I would like the henchmen to draw penises on the minimap, order me around, bicker with one another, and if I loot something for their class, try to make me give it to them.

If any of the henchmen were to say "Go for the eyes, boo! The eyes!" I wouldn't be able to play for a good 5 minutes and would probably need to change pants

I apologise. I think I did not clarify my original point well enough. First of all, before I calrify it, I would like to say that I would be happy if they would just talk. It's a great idea that Devona, Aidan, Cynn and Mhenlo become henchmen, but it is somewhat spoiled by the fact that they don't say a word. Not even a hello. The big 4 aren't seen for half the game, and suddenly they appear, and don't mention a word to you. That I think should be changed.
What I will clarify is as follows. I did not mean that they should start bickering because one wants to go left and the other wants to go right. That would be enough to drive any sane person nuts, and would be more of a hindrance than a help (though I do think having Devona saying, "Go for the eyes, Boo" would be very funny ). Rather, what I wanted was something of a personality clash. Let me explain. For those of you who have ever played Baldurs Gate 2, you will have noticed a lot of fights betwenn Minsc, Korgan, Jan Jansen, etc. For those who have ever played Knights of the Old Republic 1, it would be like the fights between Carth Onasi, Bastila, Mischeif, etc. These fights were all very amusing and fun to watch, and I think Anet should try to do that.

If you sit and watch them I noticed that Thom shuffles his feet and looks bored
but yes the interactions in baldurs gate and KOTOR were a major selling point for me
So it would be nice to see some eventually here

I LOVED that! LOL...just remembering it made me laugh so hard.
But if GW wants to have witty NPCs they will actually have to hire writers. Which they pretty clearly didn't do, given the quality of the overall story in the game.

True enough. The story is pretty stupid. I suppose when the story changes, they might decide to change this.
