What if it wasn't just for 15k armors, like let's say that your lvl 5 war in yak's bend and have ascalon armor, but u need money for that +energy glads armor
so what do u do? u go to an armor refund person and u get 50% of the money and 50% of the materials back so u can at least buy a peice of that armor.

I would like to see some kind of armor upgrade NPC who can change the kind of armor you have, lets say you want to change for 15k necrotic to 15k bonelace so you only pay 1/2 the cash for each part or 1/2 the material.

/signed. There should be a higher resale value to 15k and FoW armor. You paid a lot more for it than the 1.5 counterpart which gives back the same money.
For those saying the economy would crash:
Since I re-roll my toons so much, I just buy 1.5s and live with em. Most of the people I know do too. 15k armor is a money sink and we know it. For something thats just skins, theres no reason why we would want to "waste" 75k and get only the runes price back through salvage. Plus...1.5 Kurzick looks best of all, imho.
How can it hurt the economy if more people are able to afford their 15k skins more quickly by sellign them to the merchant for mroe money? You still need to get the crafting materials, which means you need a trader or you need a farm. Only now, because you can afford to, people will be swapping their armor more often. There'd be a run on materials as people change armors to the flavor of the month, instead of "omgz! I am not going through what I went through to get my 15k the first time!" and grabbing 1.5 sets for considerably less time, moeny and material.
If anything I think this might help the economy since the 15k at present just disappears from the system.
I'd love to know I can put 15k on my Hammer Maiden and get some of that phenomenal investment back the next time Anet decides to change the stats so her stuff is out of date.

I have to bring this up and sign... Actually I have a better idea - make cuztomized armor available for all of the characters one owns in his/her account. For example If you have a 15k sunspear armor, being able to use it on all characters would be cool. And since the farming has been made harder, making armor crafting easier would be a cool improvement.

I know it sucks, but money sinks are important. Just try to manage your storage better or think carefully when spending lots of money on armor. I personally have 3 sets of 15k on my warrior (soon to be 4 once I get the end-game for nightfall) I love and use them all regularly, even if I bought fow I'll still be sporting my 15k ascalon into chapter 4,5,6 and onward.

A) gold sink but more importantly B) just think about it. some craftsmen is supposed to take a 100000 gold worth armor set and chaange it to another 100000 gold piece armor set? I'd like to see him change female warrior bikini armor into female warrior plate armor

If you want more armour, then earn it, like everyone else has. New armour comes out every chapter that looks increasingly sparkly, and pwetty: Save for it.

This is precisely why 15k doesn't make you any stornger than 1.5k, so if you can't afford it you can stick to 1.5k

Well while you all brag about your 2-3 15k sets I don't have enough space to place my 20th set and I don't think it comes that much to money as to not throwing your armor to the merchant...
