Little friend list update
okey maybe this is already sayd but anyway:
I'm thinkin of a little update to the friend list where you can see where your friends are and in what district..
Like:
tyria necro away Lion's Arch English District 1
canthan warrior online Kaineng Center International District
i think this is much easier to find someone you need.
When they are in an mission the town changes to: Mission: Awaking Waters for example
and when they are outside a town: Explorable: Awaking Waters for example

[Person you are harassing] Online Unwaking Waters [Mission].
"Think I'll harass this guy for putting gold instead of plat in trade!".

Guild Wars is only one of a few that doesnt use a location based friends list.
If you are commonly getting 'stalkers' like the person above, im quite amused at why these people stalk you and what you have done to encourage them.
Im not so sure the district number is necessary, but
'Veneficus - Mesmer - Location "Lions Arch" '
Seems more than suitable.

This has been brought up before, and its been thrashed. fyi, some people like a bit of privacy.

I thought about something similar to that but readable by a third party program like xfire. Basically, you can see all the details of where a person is, possibly including details about their current char in the xfire game info window

How about this?
Online (Location Displayed)
Online
Away
Do Not Disturb
Offline
When you are "Online (Location Displayed)", it lets anyone know what town and district you are in. All other functions work just like they do now. If someone is on your ignore list, they can not read what location you are in. Everyone's happy.

Maybe ANet can implement a feature with the Ignore List with this so people you ignore can't know where you are. Would defeat stalkers.

I was hoping it was assumed but I mentioned it too in my post... if you ignore someone, I'd hope they can't stalk you.

Can i just ask Why you have experienced 'Stalker's' in this game?
I havnt, and i dare say none of my friends online have either...
I can honestly say, with GuildWars being primarily a 'team based' game why do people require privacy. As soon as your out of town your on your own apart from your party, thats also pretty rare in an MMO.
