I think Heroes should definitely stay.
There are loads of people in this thread complaining about how "Kick heroes out because its really boring/pathetic playing against henchway all the time".
HA is actually a lot more diverse with heroes. You no longer go up against purely Starburst/Iway/Fotm builds, but a large range of different henchway builds. I say it was a lot more boring without hench, as you usually just fought rubbish fotm groups.
"Henchway" or "Heroway" are not builds, they are just the players in them. The skills used determines the builds, and so allowing heroes gives groups a lot more freedom to come up with new builds.
I suggest that they increase the amount of Heroes to 5, so we can customise the builds fully instead of having to take 2 hench.

Here is what these cry babies are suffering, assuming you consider Guild Wars a culture in this example.
CULTURE SHOCK:
Culture shock is a term used to describe the anxiety and feelings (of surprise, disorientation, confusion, etc.) felt when people have to operate within an entirely different culture or social environment, such as a different country or a different state than where they live (e.g. suburban southern California vs. rural North Carolina).
PHASES OF CULTURE SHOCK
Severe culture shock (moving to a foreign country) often consists of distinct phases. Not everyone moves through the phases and not everyone is in the new culture long enough to pass through all three:
•The Honeymoon Phase - During this period the differences between the old and new culture are seen in a romantic light, wonderful and new. For example, in moving to a new country, an individual might love the new foods, the pace of the life, the people's habits, the buildings and so on.
•The "Everything is awful" phase - After a few days, a few weeks, or a few months, minor differences between the old and new culture begin to add up to become tiresome and annoying. One may long for food the way it is prepared "back home," may find the pace of life too fast or slow, may find the people's habits annoying, etc.
•The "Everything is OK" phase - Again, after a few days, weeks or months, one grows accustomed to the new culture's differences and develops routines. At this point, an individual no longer reacts to the new culture positively or negatively, because it no longer feels like a new culture. An individual becomes concerned with basic living again, as they were in their original culture.
•Reverse Culture Shock - Returning to one's home culture after growing accustomed to a new one can produce the same effects as described above.
Evidence that whiners will suffer and eventually cope. In other words,
Deal with it.

Still doesn't solve the problem of it being PvP, not PvAI(bot).
Its a dangerous step towards GW becoming a Single player game.
Now before you snap in with a witty retort, remember that GW's main selling point after No fees, was the PvP game dynamics.
Personaly I think it will only be a few weeks before the first builds come out to defeat heroway, and I already know of atleast 4 guilds that have banned the use of heroway/ or just ceased HA-ing.
The point is still Player vs Payer, Should remain Player vs Player. Leave the NPC's there almost harmless. But Anet ditch the officially endorsed Bots!

I never thought I'd lose complete interest in HA, but now I have. It's not that it's difficult to play, it's just completely unrewarding to play against NPCs.

The solution is simple. Make Heroes Acsent like Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry, and Arenas... No henchmen allowed so thus no heroes allowed. Simpily hit begin and it will randomly place you in a team. Problem solved. OH.. OH I forgot you posers like your rankests attitude towards everyone else... yea I guess there is no pleasing you then... so nvm... /sarcasm off...

Why can't people simply just look at how many international district before NF and after NF to see how popular it is.
Before the 6v6 there are 4 districts 90% of the time, after there are 3, now there are only 2.
Nubs do heroway and i own them 99% of the time. And NO i dont want free fames like that because i'm not fame farmer i play for fun, killing some noobs that don't even know which team is holding is NOT fun.
Also heroways are for fame farmers, anyone who want to have play good games fight good teams know they'll need real players, e.g. real monk real interrupters. People who want to have fun play with friends and socialize. Those people that do heroway are those fame farmers that only go in for fames, because with heroway it's extremely limited in tactics and flexibility, if something goes wrong there is nothing they can do but lose, they can't change tactics, there is no communication in the team, if the monk is dazed no1 will remove it, if there is a meteor shower coming down they cant call for quick interrupt. Only those who just want to go in and click some random buttons hoping they'll get some fames will do heroway.
To those who can't get into a team then go make yourself a team, if you think you are good at the game then you will have no problem, and if nobody want to join you that mean you don't know the game well enough so ur plan/build don't sound convincing.

Because there is NO competition, i said in the earlier post that i beat heroway 99% of time, it's like in UW u see koss/dunkuro/whatever, u owned them, and in broken temple u own them again, and in scared earth guess what?? u own them again!! all in 2 min. I'm not a fame farmer i dont care about free fames, i play to own some real players. Do u get it now?
Why don't u go in and have a few runs instead of seeing what other ppl said and have an opinion of urself. Then u'll understand what i'm talking about when u fight 4 heroways before seeing 1 team of real players.
i have to stress that i DO NOT care about easy free fames.

Well, let me start by saying, I, too, abhorr heroway.
But, if you'd like to look to place blame on someone for HA being 99% heroway teams - blame the people in this thread. Not the ones supporting heroway, though. The ones going "OMG! Heroway sucks! I quit HA!"
If all the non-heroway teams quit HA because of a MINORITY of Heroways - guess what? All that's left is those Heroways.
If it was 3+ districts before, and now it's 2 and it's 50% heroway - that's means you've got only about 1 district of Heroway - 1 district of people still playing, and a whole damn district of people that quit and let heroway become dominant.
It's one thing to oppose heroway, to hate it, to petition it's removal and to despise those that dare to run it.
It's another thing completely to go, "H3r0z in t3h H4? OMGZ! /ragequit"

Why don't they just create a new arena where only real players can participate, turn it back to 8v8 and leave HA to those who want to learn. As long as you still get fame I think that would be a solution.

Or, they could make an arena specifically for people who want to run heroway outside of HA - oh wait - they already did that, my bad.

as much as i hate the state of heroes ascent since nightfall, i'm not going to sign this. it's true that it's quite boring to fight against heroes but the truth is things got bad since it's 6v6 and a certain paragon skill...
you guys fail to realise the main problen with heroes ascent is Song of Concentration. the heroes are simply a way for inexperienced ppl to get a party. any decent human team can beat a hero team. but it's song of concentration and 6v6 the reason the game bad and boring.
truth is even with a 3 monk backline u can't take the pressure from 8 dmg dealers (2 teams). eventually, during those 4 minutes, your ghost will die. and then the song from 1 of the teams will make the enemy ghost cap. i'm basically saying holding got nerfed. these days holding it's only possible at 'noob' hour, past 1am.
(by holding i mean winning more than 3 times)
heroes have little to do with any of these problems and they don't really affect any decent human team. the only thing that bothers me about heroes is that i'm under the feeling human teams are slowly fading away and pvp is becoming pve. but the heroes are the EFFECT of something, NOT the cause.
the cause is mainly 6v6 and song of concentration. these changes, notably 6v6, made ha not fun anymore for many regular ha players.

Dude, what do you really think came first? Actual PvPers leaving or Heroway numbers exploding? Do you honestly believe that serious PvPers that are dedicated to PvP would leave if they were just facing a minority Heroway, where they'd face Heroway maybe a few times a week, maybe 5 times out of 25 matches? Be sensible, man. If there was still honest-to-god human competition, those PvPers would NOT have stopped doing HA. If Heroway was a minority, those PvPers would NOT have stopped doing HA.
You have PvPers in these very threads talking about how at least one team every single match in HA has been Heroway since people discovered you could bring Heroes into HA. Think about that. Let it sink in. At least one Heroway every single match. Some here were talking about--from FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE--that their team was the only non-Heroway in a three-way fight.
This is not a chicken or the egg scenario. NEVER, ever try to spin this like the predominance of Heroway is the PvPers' fault. It isn't. Serious PvPers left HA when HA became PvE every match. You want to talk about what caused what? Heroway saturation caused PvPers to leave. NOT PvPers leaving caused Heroway saturation.
EDIT: And Song of Concentration's impact at least deals with the metagame, and we absolutely have ways (quite a few, actually) to counter it with new Necro and Mesmer skills. That's a good impact, however, annoying, because at least it's PvP-related. This Heroway crap is nothing more than a PvE content saturation.

While we're on the topic of being cry babies about how we can't get what we want, change UW so I can solo it again because getting in groups "isn't fun"... /sarcasm off
For the love of god, it's not fair that you elitiests are getting your way in Halls. At least now inexperienced players will get a slight taste of what they missed out on because jerks don't let them in their group. This game... It's a game. Games are meant for fun, so let the newbies have some fun, everyone should have some fun, especially those who missed out on HA for a long time, you guys had your fun. Let them have fun now and shutup.
