well the loot amounts to what 5k a person? And there would be no greens since they would go out of "print" once the gold kicks in. But yeah 400k in any case.
And sicarious, with 12 people you can. 99% chance of two lagouts, tho + the many many "OMG I"M QUITTING ONE MONK GLAGGED OUT" chain which sqaushes a group like halfway through.

On even a more serious note, this is where Anet really need to add to the game an option if dropped from a party due to error or ISP issue, that when you get back in you have the option to rejoin the party, or maybe not even an option, you are just brought back in the party period.

5-Man FoW can be profitable for the casual player. I get a decent amount of shards when in the fissure doing 5-man.

I agree. If someone maps out, logs out, or closes the GW window then obviously that person chose to stop. But if someone is disconnected and those three actions weren't done and doesn't trigger, then that person should be allowed back in when the team starts the next level. I wouldn't allow the person back in if he/she logged out or otherwise intentionally left the party. Otherwise you could get leechers who will exit and just come back when they figure the party is near the end of the run.

The end result is that the new skins bring a new diversity of items into these dungeons and make them profitable again once after they have been farmed into the ground with out having to nerf the drops so that one can make profit farming in groups of 8 or more.
any opinions?

My first opinion would be....
My second opinion would then be to ask; You are aware of these huge things that Anet releases about every 6 months called "New Campaigns"!
These wonderfull things do actually add new skins and new weapons and new greens.
They do infact add new diversity, in the form of a whole new continent.
So I would have to then say....
/notsigned!
Ive said this many times, in reply to alot of posts. But I honestly have to say this one takes ths biscuit.
Your asking them to add new skins and weapons every 6 months to an alreayd existing campaign. We've seen from experience that they stop updating previous campaigns once their out. Look at Prophercies.
But there is a good reason for this;
If they continued to focus on previous campaigns and added new skins and weapons to those ones, then they would run out of new content for the future expansions.
To say that its not hard work to impliment new skins and weapons into a game is a bit narrow minded. You have an entire design team who have to draw rough sketches, get them approved, have those designs digitised, and made to fit onto countless weapon models. You then have to create new models to new weapons. You have to create the stats for them and make them interact with the environment when used.
It isnt easy. Not if you want it done properly and not rushed out.
Dont get me wrong. I think constantly adding new skins and weapons to an existing campaign would be a good thing. I wish they would pay more attention to Tyria, because I love the original.
But the simple answer is they wont do it.
Soon Factions will drop behind in priority and Elona will take lead, and then the new campaign and so on.
It is better to focus more on new expansions, as mentioned. Otherwise the arists would run out of ideas for weapons and skins and any future campaigns would start to look less and less original.
I do appreciate your idea about how the market becomes flooded with the same gear, but again this is fixed by people bringing skins and weapons over from other continents.

Weapon skins really shouldn't be that hard or time consuming to create.

Perhaps not, but making skins and models goes through a production process of sketches and evaluation and being signed off and stuff.
Its not quite as easy as just picking up a pen and drawing a new skin.
Plus theyd run out of ideas like i said.

Ok now... im pretty sure this is not the first post u complain that "a.net is doing other stuff bla bla bla"
If you are going to keep on saying that at every post so please dont say nothing at all. Imagine if we all though like you, there would be absolutely no threads here.
Yes, we do know that they are doing other things, we do know that take sthem a lot of good ideas, time, people and al the things that you need to add a new feature at GW.
BUT it does not mean that we cant give them good ideas, and that our ideas might be added.
SO, if you are not going to help, then please do not bother us.
Im sorry if i am beeing to agressive, but you are not beeing handful and neither beeing positive
One idea of skin, the old Ghostly Hero's sword.
why not?

It was more the fact that the OP was asking for new skins and weapons to be created every 6 months ontop of new skins and weapons being created when new campaigns come out.
So the new campaigns add the diversity that hes asking for anyway. And I just couldnt see it happened with the trend to not update past campaigns.
And the originality would go out the game, if they ran out of ideas faster.
But i'm all up for suggestions, and ideas. Its just when people write the suggestions and behave like the game will fall apart if their not introduce that it rattles me a bit.
Not that the OP was saying that in this one.
Im just in a really bad mood at late and I keep picking at everyones ideas!
